Sending Su30 is a good response because it provides tactical flexibility to the whole situation. Su30 wasn't sent to 'just' shoot down a shitty drone, but also as a deterrent against Chinese feeling the temptation to escalate.

For all the armchair warriors here, blaming GoI for pussing out and not calling out the Chinese by rubbing their face in the dirt, here is a reality check.

After the Ukraine Crisis began the only reason we have been able to get away by being neutral and looking out for our interests is because we are one of the major bright spots on a gloomy world economic situation.
A war with China right now would be the absolute worst thing that can happen for us now, because then poof goes our economy and poof goes our strategic leverage.

Why do you think calling out chinka aggression and releasing facts will cause a war ? I sense the same backward non-aggressive typical mentally colonised thinking here - "oh but we are a peace loving vasudhaiva kutumbunkum country...we should not provoke our enemies even if they keep murdering us and releasing videos etc...". First of all it’s not unmanned peak. We have a stone walled post their and dominate the ridge lines peaking into Tibet and Chinese positions. It’s good to see our soldiers are swiftly taken to Army hospital in Guwahati for speedy recovery.
