sukhoi deployment has got more to do than a drone handicap. It's about sending a message to the other side. A drone can't do that kind of signalling

Not at all. For CAR are by fighter jets, however we can send a group of drones with Sukhoi for force projection and also may provide cover for Sukhoi incase of engagement.( Little chance however for using drones).

Again, we cud use drones to violate Chinese airspace, if they try something.

So far only SU 30 have been regularly deployed in NE so it is obvious why it was used.
Also shooting drone with a drone is oxymoron in our context.
Murica does it in an uncontested airspace.
