talking about improved villages already existing . yes they are building 'villas' for them . ur pics are new ones from doklam , no one lives here because there werent any villages here in first place .
There are lots of such ghost villages made throughout the LAC with no to some insignificant population. Most of the houses are vacant or just used as military barracks.

Many such examples, a village opposite Thang La, villages at Upper Subanshiri (inside our territory), villages inside west Bhutan, etc., etc.

u may not like it but chinese are throwing money at these people so they stay and using them to enforce their border claim . chinese villages opposite eastern ladakh got 24 power supply / 4g . fuckers even electrified black top using electicity poles .

situation in AP is even worse .
Thing is, no one can ascertain whether any native lives in those villages at all. They can easily bring soldiers or govt. agents to populate these villages and show them as "occupied". We cannot really beat China in infrastructure construction currently, we are already doing the best we can.

pretty much what i said , new vs existing villages - existing are obviously already occupied .

we cant match them but IMHO things will be better , atleast for AP once LAC road there is completed.

i am pretty sure Chinese will react once construction gets close to hot spots . maybe new stand offs or what not.

The route on that map... er... looks funky to say the least. "Work to start soon" with 10 year old photo of baba-ji :dude: . AFAIK the river valley "finger" roads haven't been built yet to some of these places, let alone cross valley connections at medium elevations.

dont know whats happening with project now . probably waiting for China or something.

10 year old photo of baba-ji

its an old project from 2014 , gov probably created it because chinese fucked us at depsang in 2013. by time it ends chinese would have fucked us in AP too.

What is happening in the name of disengagement at PP15 :lehappy: Nobody really did anything significant, we are still present between PP15 and PP16, and China only moved back a few kilometers, the coordinates @mokoman mentioned. We seem to have disbanded the camp at PP16, only to re-erect it again 2 km behind.
SCO window dressing photo op PR probably

The situation currently after PP15 disengagement.

Orange - Chinese roads
Light green - Indian roads
Purple - Previous Chinese positions
Light Blue - Previous Indian positions
Dark Green - Current Indian positions
Red - Current Chinese positions

New Chinese post -

New Indian post between PP15 - PP16 -

New Indian post behind PP16 -

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Honestly no idea what is happening. This seems like a half-hearted pullback that is politically motivated. Both sides are not serious about disengagement in any way.
