Just six's that are still low we need atleast twelve's atleast by the July's end . The delivery of the Rafale's are extremely low literally need to ramp up the production's as fast as they could .

When I say imposing cost it means imposing cost in terms of land and troops. We are still very much capable to defend our territory and give them bloody nose without losing any territory but what purpose does it serves .? We can go back to status quo without war , then it's all good and fine. They killed our 20 soldiers , we killed way more than that + many of there soldiers were injured due to landslide . Do not underestimate us , it's just that in today's time we don't hold any decisive advantage over them and they also don't hold any advantage over us other than some of there aircrafts which rafale can counter as of now.

Next time they will come back at a better time when world view will be different and

Read this on the other forum too sometime back there were talks on some other forum that the CDS had been caught off guard and Modi was highly disappointed.

Further claimed that's the reason CDS hasn't come out in the news lately and bottled up.

Could be true modi doesn't tend to take such matters lightly.

Not directly relevant to this thread but early in his tenure the CDS made announcements on the IAF's and IN's future procurements and was refuted by both service chiefs He said that henceforth the IAF will only go in for Tejas purchases and the IAF chief immediately countered that the IAF MMRCA 2 acquisition is still ongoing. With regards to the IN he said that there is no need for a 3rd carrier for the IN which was also refuted immediately by the IN chief. Regardless of the merits of each of these cases a person just taking up his job in the newly set up CDS position has to tread carefully and diplomatically given that there is tremendous inter service rivalry about each service guarding it's turf. He has to get the other service chiefs on side and in agreement before making public pronouncements on such sensitive topics which affect the other services. There seems to be a foot in the mouth tendency here.

Before this crisis began it seemed as of India viewed security relations with China solely through the narrow prism of the prevailing land border dis-agreements. In what has undoubtedly been a steep learning curve, events and actions over the last 2 months have demonstrated that GOI has realized that the India-China conflict has maritime and economic domains as well as evidenced by banning the Chinese apps, cancelling the automatic approval for FDIs from China and the naval activity off the Malacca Straits.

So I think that there is already probably a group of people who collectively are advising Modi on the evolving situation and this steep learning curve has resulted in a re-vamp of the PM's advisors regarding the China file.
