You need to trek 5-6 days to reach there, you will require a trekking guide, permission to camp, permission from Uttrakhand govt.

Also, you will need expert glacial surveying skills, equipment, finding the weak spots, determine the amount of explosives required to trigger a sustained landslide., the odds against are too long.

It's not like running to your nearest railway line and opening the track bolts.

Which would point to no sabotage, but an unfortunate natural phenomena. Peace to those that lost their lives.

Images from Copernicus’s Sentinel 2 satellite also showed the formation or opening of a crack in the Nanda Devi glacier that is believed to have triggered the landslide.

In all likelihood, a steep, hanging portion of the Nanda Devi glacier broke off at Trishuli, in what is called a ‘rockslope detachment’. This potentially caused nearly 2,00,000 square metres of ice to drop 2 kilometres vertically, causing a landslide, impacting the valley floor and shattering instantly. This debris, rock, and ice then flowed downslope in the form of an avalanche, identified by the dust trail in the satellite imagery.

Well, I am strongly inclined towards a natural cause because the location where the alleged glacial avalanche took place is a good 30-35 km away from the Chinese border.
The DEW weapons theories are plain laughable because the amount of energy required to melt a glacier is unrealistic.

That leaves CM/BM strike with a significant payload to move & melt the glacial base. Possibility of which is debatable.

What would be the possibility of a 6 man or a 12 man team, each carrying bags of high explosives, which could be placed at certain points?. (I think if explosives/missile were used, it could be detected chemically)
