Himalayan region is a region with a very special topography. This is the reason why it needs very special weapons to be used in this area. This is the reason why India had to configure Brahmos in its Block III avatar to steep dive on the other side of mountain to hit important targets. This is the reason why Missile like parlay was conceived. It could have been very useful in a situation like this. However, it delayed indefinitely as it happens for the most of the times. We need special weapons, Special logistics vehicles, special (Light weight) tanks, Special cloths, Special transport vehicles, special planes to fight in this area. Whosoever has this sort of special weapons will dominate. The good part of Indian preparation what can see is Rafale joining IAF , the advance landing ground, Border infrastructure, advance landing ground etc which was made in last few years. The flip side is not having Pralay operational, LCH yet not deployed, Lack of light tanks in operation etc. We have tried to overcome this by the way of emergency purchase. We should not at all take this lightly. We can face any emergency situation any time.

China is such a nation that It puts onus of any good relationship on other country. We should not pay any attention to that and keep strengthening our relationship with anti china forces. The biggest harm which we can inflict on China is emerging as a substitute of China in manufacturing. We have out classed them in two wheeler sales in Africa. This should happen on each and every front.

Disengagement with India has started: China
The Chinese and Indian armed forces at the south and north banks of the Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh have started disengagement simultaneously, said the Chinese Defence Ministry on Wednesday in a statement.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, Wu Qian, the disengagement process is happening as per the consensus reached by the ninth round of the commander-level talks between China and India.

“According to the consensus reached by the ninth round of the commander-level talks between China and India, the frontline units of the Chinese and Indian armed forces began organised disengagement from North and South bank of Pangong lake from February 10,” Wu said in a brief press release.

CAUTION : Indian Express
Maybe the Chinese went back but there is no way we vacated those heights.

There are 2 events that might have take place
1 . There is certainly disengagement going on.
2. Indian Army has taken some offensive action that has PLA knickers in a knot. So, to pressure India to desist PLA has come up with this jumla..
Maybe Hellfire Bhau can provide some clarity..

Nah I don't think any disengagement has happened especially in the South bank it is next to impossible that we will leave those heights, China has only been fortifying its position ever since, offensive action is also unlikely in winter.

Too good to be true.

Hope our troops stay at the occupied readjusted peaks.

Why would the CCP want the same?

Hey Lurkers and new members, veterans like @Hellfire has said and many people in this forums are of the opinion that nothing much has to be read into these statements, China has made these statements in the past at least 2 times, the last these incorrect reports even suggested that India was going to vacate the heights in the south bank of Pangong Tso those rumors and reports died out and nothing ever happened so expect the same this time as well, even last time same amount of hype surrounded this so called "disengagement" but nothing came out of it.

Based on unofficial input from chinese side but nothing confirmed yet from our side.
May be as per inputs from Hellfire ji we might have captured new positions across LAC, so PLA given the disengagement statement to put pressure on IA from moving forward.
