Can never trust the Chinese. Also no way should we vacate the Kailash range heights so easily. North bank of Pangong doesn’t have that much of strategic value. It’s the other areas , specially Depsang that we need to make sure the Chinese pull back from before we even contemplate vacating the Kailash heights.

Also don’t know how true reports of IA occupying additional areas are. But if true the IA has made use of its experience and expertise in harsh winters and hats off and Kudos to the IA.

Impossible to keep a track of 8000sq km of glacier in India.
Geo Survey of India estimates total 9575 glaciers in India alone. Only time geologist studies glacier area is when they have been asked to by the govt/institutes etc.

They have built up rare areas deployed SAM batteries in Kailash ranges and missiles in strategic dept areas... I am leery about this localized disengagement in Pangong Tso area while others remain as is. After Galwan, things cannot be "normal" and CCP will not survive if they give up on their perceived claims. So not sure what is this new nautanki which is playing out. Actually japanese atleast has a modest naval force and is anyway invested in the scs area due to proximity and can't avoid fighting,so they are the most reliable of the bunch but I get what you are saying.

I support Quad, but there is no two front threat unless Quad is formalized as a mutual defense treaty like NATO.
