What will be China's objective this summer, Xi has to show something if he wants to save his throne, will there be small medieval style combat like last summer or will China go for something sharp and swift that Xi can project as a victory?
The second operation is very unlikely because time window for that may have already passed, what do you guys think?

China pressured Nepal to accept its vaccine: Leaked documents

Leaked documents of correspondence between Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu show that Beijing had put pressure on the Himalayan country to accept its Covid vaccine without its efficiency and efficacy being established.

The Nepali media on Sunday published stories on the basis of the leaked correspondence which show how China made Nepal accept its Sinovac vaccine produced by Sinopharm without any further delay.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with his Nepali counterpart Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Friday and put pressure to accept the vaccines first under the condition that the details about the vaccines will be sent afterward; a topsy-turvy way of vaccine procurement. “Necessary documents will be provided later, but take the vaccine immediately,” as per the letter the Chinese Embassy sent to the Nepal government, warning that otherwise the country may need to wait quite long to get the vaccine. The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu is yet to confirm the validity of the letter, but Nepali officials confirmed that it was genuine.

:rofl::rofl:
stooopid xi has to do hard sale and still noone want chinese vaccines

The chinese vaccines have a rate of about 58% less than a percent higher than WHO limit on efficiency on vaccines.

Fearing an IAF attack in hinterland Tibet, the PLA has deployed SAM units and anti-aircraft guns around all major towns all along the LAC.

Maybe they are just covering their bases , but what are the scenarios where we attack Tibet ?

Only way thats happening is if the Chinese launch massive invasion and occupy indian territory or they try to evict us and things escalate to a full war.

:hmm: Either way , April will be interesting month

A full scale war is still very remote but not at all impossible because of the current scenario in which we see ourselves, a 2 front swift action is much more possible than a full scale war but then again any 2 front scenario will be seen as a full scale war.

PLA has never had the habit of attacking from front, they have always stabbed anyone they have gone war with from back. India is in no mood for a "Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai" today.

New Herons MALE UAVs are going to be procured soon. Northern Command alone has a requirement for 16 such drones . More LORROS and similar indigenous observation systems like TI and FLIR systems are being procured as part of a new push to increase means of surveillance all along the LAC.

Then there's Project Cheetah .

No matter what is procured , we will be needing more boots on the ground. Nothing beats the old fashioned but rock solid mk1 eyeball. Some of the brigades being pulled up from counter insurgency duties in NE will be redeployed along the Mac Mohan line in Arunachal Pradesh . We need more soldiers on ground so that when an intristion into our soil is being effected, we can quickly reach the spot and block the approaching PLA troops right there in their own territory. Instead of being REACTIVE, we need to be PROACTIVE and preempt them . There also needs to be enough troops who can cross over into their territory and hold ground there as quid pro quo incase the Chinese manage to enter and settle on r land claimed by both sides.

Amid faceoff, big boost for LAC surveillance | India News - Times of India

NEW DELHI: India is going in for a major upgrade of surveillance capabilities along the northern borders with China through an array of drones, sensors, reconnaissance and electronic warfare equipment to keep tabs on the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in real-time and strengthen measures to detect intrusions.

The DRDO, in turn, has almost finished developing a border observation and surveillance system (BOSS), with a well-integrated system of multiple sensors, for manned as well as unmanned areas of the LAC, said the sources.

Though PLA well equipped I highly doubt their close contact capabilities, that too on rugged terrain like Himalayas. They won't push further and get a bloody nose which fill further damage CCP. I believe PLA will keep the pressure on eastern sector , proxy may open up at the western sector. Fingers crossed

The author of the book warns that China is facing little resistance to its political warfare and its aim of winning the fight without fighting. If the world is to stop China in its tracks, the book argues, then countries who are the target of Beijing’s multiple warfare campaign such as India, the United States and others, need to develop a national strategy to counter political warfare, establish national institutes to counter China’s propaganda war, be forthright about threats emanating from PRC and have better analytical, investigative, and legal training for those with these responsibilities to screen, track, and expose political warfare activities
