we are in a very strong position in kaurik .The Chinese are plugging all the gaps and weak points (while we wait for the next masterstroke ).
>two countriesMatter of 2 countries
Seriously?!? Ostrich mentality??Matter of 2 countries
And why your ass is burning with his statement he didn't said any thing wrong seems like you are also a wumao.Seriously?!? Ostrich mentality??
I'll go out on a limb and say IAF is probably the weakest link in our defence forces. They were caught napping on Feb 27th when PAF strike package should have been ambushed and neutered. For all its faults and deficiencies, the army and navy have performed spectacularly in Kargil and 1971 respectively. The IAF have not exactly covered themselves in glory, and if they cant dominate PAF not sure what chances they stand against PLAAF.
Airforce chief has no role in speaking abt things which involves sensitive international policy .. He can comment on prepardness of Airforce and future plans .Seriously?!? Ostrich mentality??

I dont like brushing away an existential threat as an issue between 2 nations. It's simply above his paygrade. And why your ass is burning with his statement he didn't said any thing wrong seems like you are also a wumao.
Not old enough to remember 1971, but based on what I have read, on the western front IAF/PAF were at a stalemate. In the east those duffers simply gave up after IA sliced through and captured Dhaka. PAF did not have enough presence/resources/will to challenge IAF as the ground war rapidly going against it.Airforce chief has no role in speaking abt things which involves sensitive international policy .. Its job of the national ledership (political) to determine and comment on these issues .
Can u explain how IAF underperformed in kargil and 1971 ?
Lol seems like your sources are pakistani. This was the the real overall air battle in 1971.Not old enough to remember 1971, but based on what I have read, on the western front IAF/PAF were at a stalemate. We lost at least 2 fighters and one chopper during the Kargil war, apparently to ground fire or Stingers. Why didn't the IAF with its BVR advantage back then splash a few PAF fighters on CAPs? What is the need to follow symmetry - if they use ground fire we use the same too? Who makes these garbage operational strategies?
Granted it's the govt's decision to not cross LoC, but in those terrain and altitudes, a few kilometers of airspace ingress is nothing. Aur karo Aman does Asha series!
It was not decision of IAF whether to cross LOC and attack targets during kargil .. whether to shut down paki fighter jets . It was political decision . IAF was given a threasold under which they had to act . Nuclear bombs were new back then . Everyone feared and India had little international standing in case a full scale war had started .. That was reasoning of political leadership .Not old enough to remember 1971, but based on what I have read, on the western front IAF/PAF were at a stalemate. In the east those duffers simply gave up after IA sliced through and captured Dhaka. PAF did not have enough presence/resources/will to challenge IAF as the ground war rapidly going against it.

So 2 "Rising Star" PLA generals got seriously ill/died within months. PLA should ask their generals to switch to vegetarian/healthy diet and quit smoking. Also stop shooting themselves twice at the at the back of their heads.A senior Chinese military commander who was responsible for security along the contested border with India has died at the age of 58. General Zhang Xudong was replaced as head of the Western Theatre Command after just six months as part of a series of leadership changes. Zhang had been suffering from cancer and problems with his gastrointestinal tract before his death on October 1, according to two military sources. Zhang was promoted to full general in late December last year, replacing Zhao Zongqi as head of the country’s largest theatre command, an area that includes Xinjiang and Tibet, as well as China’s border with India in the Himalayas.
In June he stepped down without any reason being given to be replaced by General Xu Qiling, previously head of the Eastern Theatre Command.
In September the Central Military Commission announced that Xu would himself be replaced by General Wang Haijiang, previously commander of the Xinjiang military district. “Zhang and Xu were rising stars in the military as President Xi Jinping seemed to think highly of them,” said a military source who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation. Zhang was given a role on the CMC’s Strategic Planning Committee, but it is not known what Xu’s current role is.
...
However, one military source said there were broader concerns for the health and well-being of commanders and troops in the Western Theatre Command, adding that Xu was also suffering from health problems. “[Xu] also has some problems linked to his gastrointestinal tract,” the source said. “That’s why he left his post just two months after the appointment to the Western Theatre Command.”
Need not insert ourselves into everything, There is a global strategic recalibration happening in this decade, we may see more of these things in coming years.First Australia and now France
Meanwhile India be like, "It is a matter between two countries", but wait! atleast COAS considers Taiwan as a seperate country, which China doesnt.
Sab Gandu log ko isi plane mein Hona thaThere is also a twist to this story:
Many Indians will not be aware of the fact that, De la Rue owner Roberto Giori who controlled 90% of the world’s currency-printing business at that time was also on the hijacked IC 814, and it is believed that a ransom was paid by the Indian Government for the safe release of Roberto Giori.
It is said that huge pressure was on Vajpayee govt from powerful Banksters through US govt.
So Swiney thinks IAF is worse than Syrian air force.. . .and he did not even bother to explain himself how IAF will be destroyed in 3 days..
