Experts have predicted at least one million COVID-related deaths this year in China, but the country has reported just over 5,000 since the pandemic began. This is a lot less than what other countries have reported as they removed restrictions.

Why do you think it didn;t happen? The place to find such celebrations would be sinodefenceforum isn't it? I think it's the covering up 3 months back I could see everywhere the real estate bubble collapse news and there is no mention of it now.

Yes, there was a big shutdown in December when Zero Covid went away and companies like Tesla had their employees on break from last two weeks to January 1st, 2023, with the flood of infections.

There will be another big shutdown beginning in another week with Chinese New Year until the end of month -- this outage is annual and expected.

A lot of companies simply bridged the two with a long break. Plus, orders are already down globally because of the coming recession anyways so it made sense for the extended break with the coming infection wave.

For factories impact forecast, you'll need to look at February and March. What is happening now is already in the books.

The future looks pretty bright after Zero Covid to be perfectly honest.
