The CCP narrative of "China vs World" is so ingrained that they think any Indian should wish for massive deaths in China. The fact that you have such thoughts tell more about your thinking than ours.

And no, you can defend your nation all you want and we'll not know the full picture with all the censorship. However, what's absolutely disappointing is your lack of spine to criticize your govt's bad policy.

You and the other guy praise EV growth in China and how CCP's decades long planning helped take it off. Great. It's really good planning and it deserves heaps of praise.

Then why can't you criticize when China went from Covid Zero to Full Opening, just like that? Instead of trying to point fingers and say India or UK or someone blamed China for Zero Covid at that time and are now wishing for literal mass deaths, why don't you think what a lot of people here might be trying to say?

You didn't just have two options of Complete Lockdown or Complete Open Up. You could've started partial open up and slowly allowed for people to gain immunity. You had like 1 year of time for that policy and by now, the whole population would've gained herd immunity.

Do you think acknowledging that the Covid policy was a mistake make you less patriotic? If not, how do you defend your govt. going from 0 to 100 in the drop of a hat?

I'll give you the benefit of doubt that you do criticize, just not in front of Indians or other "alien" races.

Hearing of three deaths due to pneumonia among healthy seniors in my society over the last 2 days.
No confirmation whether they were covid positive or not.

Two more pneumonia deaths in the past week, one was dad's colleague, another happens to be a juniors wife.

A total of 5 known cases due to pneumonia, ards. All of them in Bangalore.

Something is in the air.

Take care people, especially of our old folks.

china: Demand for Indian generic drugs skyrockets in China amid Covid surge - The Economic Times (indiatimes.com)

He Xiaobing, the head of Beijing Memorial Pharmaceutical, told Sixth Tone that India was "the only country where we can source reliable and affordable COVID drugs with guaranteed therapeutic effects".

"But the strong demand was used by illegal groups who produce counterfeit drugs. This will badly affect patients' treatment," he said.

At one time, Indian cancer drugs have become very famous for their efficacy and affordability.

Considering their popularity, a Chinese film by the name "Dying to Survive" showing the survival of cancer patients on the banned imported Indian drugs had a successful run in China.

China and Spread of Covid Virus

Is China getting ready to infect the rest of the world as they did in 2020 and denied it?

China has lifted up all restrictions on travel as of yesterday. That means infected Chinese and unaware that they are carrying the virus are going to their homes to see their near and dear or travelling abroad to spread it in the rest of the world. That is how the virus arrived in rest of the world three years back. It will happen all over again. The world is in health care danger. But there is a difference. This time the world is vaccinated with high efficiency vaccine and whereas Chinese were vaccinated with less than perfect vaccine. Even if the population in China were vaccinated, it proved to them ineffective. Their pride will not permit them to ask for better vaccine, resulting in massive spread of Covid.

Since it is coming to the rest of the world all over again, what should the world do. Any amount of precautions taken by the rest of the world will prove to be ineffective. The virus will reach even if travellers are quarantined. Already reports tell us that the Virus has already reached India, Thailand, Europe and U.S. These are the same countries who with China the most. Visitors, to and fro are one will bring it elsewhere.

Precautions today include, dual dose vaccination, maintain a stock of drugs to treat, vaccine to be given to unvaccinated and hospital and medical system upgraded to treat when the sick arrive……. God bless rest of the world that the Covid Virus does not spread.

This was bound to happen. So many infections in China would give rise to some new deadly variant. Travel is also not yet properly restricted from China.
