Should not be Strict!

So far 5-10 cases have come in Gujrat and all people recovered in home Isolation.

We are much better prepared with better Immunity. Might need the booster doses.

Absolutely not! We can be eternally thankful for India's unprecedented vaccine program, the successful creation of two vaccines in record time and many steps taken by the center during the first two waves that saved millions if not tens of millions of lives. That said, it is time to treat this as an endemic and not a pandemic. The citizens all around the world are vary about more restrictions, remote learning for children, business closures, mandatory vaccines, tests etc. Any forced imposition and restrictions will do a lot more harm than good to the society and the economy.

I am hearing GOI is mulling bringing back 'Air Suvidha' forms, mandatory RT PCRs, masks etc. I think it is a haphazard step which will not help. While banning flights to and from China makes sense, imposing restrictions on only air travelers does little to curb the spread of the virus. The government instead needs to encourage vaccine boosters, prepare for India's peak flu season which starts around March-Aug by taking stock of anti-virals, anti-biotics, oxygen stock, ventilators etc and just let people be.

China locked down itself from 1949 to 1979, didn't see India gained too much during then.

Indian govt should not attempt to have one more Total Lockdown.

Last lockdown ruined livelihood of many Indian citizens and they are still recovering for past two years. Many businesses went bankrupt, country's growth got stagnated.

Containment Zones are okay. Oxygen cylinders supplies and booster vaccines supplies should be bulked up.

Central govt should leave it to the wisdom of individual State govts on whether to put lockdown or not.

What is the relation with economy liberalisation to pandemic containment?

How long will you trumpet your economic growth? When money is all that you care about in life it'll lead to societal decay.

Money comes and goes, civilisation rise and fall and both India and China are no strangers to this fact. You are living in a snapshot of time where China has risen back but it's not going to stay the same forever and might change places much earlier than you think.
