Information in these days of war, is very crucial game changer. Every single soldier should be connected to the command center from where soldiers can request for air support, bombings, medical aid's etc. Satellite spying, monitoring and live pic's, live video report of war etc. Drones. Latest drones with stealth capability, fitted with all sort of sensors, cameras, communication etc. Based on the information provided, strategy should be made and can counter any army.
A lot of what you describe is being developed for US Army and Marines at Natick Labs. The technology is amazing.

FLC Laboratories
The Natick Soldier Center (NSC) is located at the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Mass., under the Army's Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM). We have the dedicated mission to maximize the soldier's survivability, sustainability, mobility, combat effectiveness and quality of life by treating the soldier as a system.

Makes perfect sense but doesn't matter how good the strategy is, the war cannot be won if the army is not provided with sufficient equipment's to carry out the missions.
For example, The standard armor of a soldier. (every single life counts)
Like you said about all soldiers being connected to the HQ. The army is developing systems but its still decades away till its actually provided to all soldiers

Airforce - Am I the only person who feels like India should have paid US 10.4 billion dollars for the (50) JSF instead of the stupid Rafale (which is inferior to the Tejas)?

Me too ..F 35 in INS Vikranth feel better ..But Rafale should needed for IAF

indigenous bombers like B-2 , Indigenous super stealth aircrafts (comparable or better than F-22) , 5 CBG's (comparable to Nimitz class or better and all are nuclear powered) , Futuristic MBTs ( some in 45 t class and some 65 T class ) , And good number of stealth frigates and nuclear powered sub-marines.. ... I wonder When will India have all these things ( Hopefully at least after 20 years we will have all these things.. :)

Re: What military equipment would YOU like to see in the Indian Armed

A little bit of a wide delivery but fits in the overall discussion of the thread

The top leaders of the Armed forces i am not sure but are they still using Ambassadors Cars. Even the Chief Ministers of states are using more contemporary high-end vehicles. I would personally like the chiefs (even top level ranks) of the three wings be given a Land Rover - Range Rover and all the ranks below given at least the latest SUV from Indian makers (like Mahindra and Tata) and replace the Maruti Gypsy. These are all Indian and still we are hatching on to Ambassador and Gypsy for far too long. One can also look at cost and depreciation.

I read there was a news on the same:

Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari to replace Maruti Gypsy in Indian Army - The Times of India

The 25,000 Gypsy can be given over to nations where we can score some brownie points for example Afghanistan, Maldives, Bangladesh, and more ...

Jaguar Land Rover has been a subsidiary of the Indian carmaker Tata Motors since 2008, when the latter acquired it from Ford.

(There were even pictures of Paki Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in a Land Rover).
