This is a Striker fired pistol
Usually has an internal safety, brazillian Taurus arms has a model which has a locking mechanism for the trigger
Will be cheap imo

Chinese don't export 5.8x42mm, so it'll be in 5.56x45mm NATO only

They may very well kill SSS Defence if they can replicate this same in their rifles; at least the external looks and aesthetics say so.

Looks aesthetically pleasing and overall build quality is also looking nice,

however,

as i pointed it out with SSSD guys in past,
design of the pistol looks somewhat (i'd say about 80 percent) similar to,

FN FNS i.e. this

or

FN 509 i.e. this

(FN FNS came first, then based on that design came FN 509 etc)

not sure if internally it is also similar or so,
compared to FN FNS // FN 509 this Atal has much simpler surface profile on its frame and slide, and those takedown lever and slide catch/release have been kinda enlarged and of course new grip design (replacable ?)

so yeah,
i believe the company might be having some ties with FN, as first SCAR-lookalike came here and now FNS//FN 509 lookalike came this time.
Note this is just specultaion of mine, it could have been their own stuff as well, just inspirations taken from this one or something else or what not.

- They claim to have filed for patent; you can't file any kind of IPR if it's a JV or even ToT.
Moreover Belgians are bit too woke to set up a collaboration with a country that does genocides in Kashmir. (main nai bol raha)

- There is usually an upward curve in terms of firearm development. It's not like all of a sudden someone comes up with G11. We are not US with 2nd amendment, how the heck they got so much exposure to guns to make such aesthetically pleasing gun!?
If we look even in the case of SSS Defence, we can see this curve. Their first iteration was complete shit; just scratch MDT logos and you're good to go. But now you can see how much refined their guns look.
In the case of Astr, this curve is mysteriously missing.

Now hear this story.
Someone in Amrika had taken a caliper, measured every dimensions in few FN guns he was having and made 3D models of it. These models were available in open source until few years ago. Then they were taken down after this ghost gun thing in US.
Most probable chances are, they got hold of those models, made few tweaks and printed it on PLA.
