You know what sirji , during recent military exercises in Russia , Pakistanis used ak 103 only .
The accuracy of insas used by our men to ak 103 at similar distance was not much different
I don't remember the scores though , both were equal i guess
Iam not even a noobda as far as fire arms are concerned , but I don't think the 7.62 39 mm bullet drop should be a concern.
Hhmm could you please post pics in appropriate thread ? (there is a porkshitstan military pics thread somewhere), would like to see them

I thought it was FAMAS
QBZ-95 program was actually a competition tbh, where many designs (at least 4 i am aware of) competed against each others designed by joint group of experts and some university interns-like fellows etc...one of the variant eerily looked similar to FAMAS, perhaps this is the origin of myth that it is FAMAS based, albeit it is also virtually unknown for us non-chinese people here how exactly those 4 different prototypes worked or their internals etc...one would have to visit their museum and ask around to get some detailed info

requesting our chinese members here @no smoking @shiphone @lixun etc to provide some info if they could about QBZ program, prototypes etc...

anyway final variant that became THE QBZ-95 is a short-stoke gas piston system AK like weapon in bullpup configuration that took basic build and ergonomics ques from FAMAS
in standard issue rifle variant and carbine variant etc the trigger group is of striker fired type, in marksman variant QBU-88 trigger group is of kalashnikov one based hammer fired type.

A little ironic don’t y’all think?😂
being honest Viv Krishnan is indeed right about one point, you shall see it in this post,
notice the buttstock part...you see there are actually two buttstock adapters here ?

first adapter of course is on rear receiver side of the rifle itself with that round button, and other adapter is there from FAB kit...so this jugaadu arrangement not only uses two adapters for affixing a length adjustable buttstock but also, trichy's adapter folds on right side of the weapon while FAB one folds on left side...so both adapters are actually opposite side folding ones here!

^THIS is why standardisation matters...you can always jugaad out things for upgrades but then such things happen when their aim is only like 'just get it done' instead of 'get it done properly'...

I still have high hopes with Trichy and wish it from bottom of my heart that they just don't blindly kopy paste it but use their own fucking brains to make a true equivalent to what we are getting from russians instead of just experimenting out like this 😒

Why do you think they’ve done this extra jugaad?
Shouldn’t the FAB Defense Buttstock for milled AKs be a direct fit? Or is the stock that of a stamped AK and the extra Trichy adapter to compensate for that?
