Not by youtube video alone scar are called a lemon rifle .when they tested it scar had less stoppages than the m4 and was nearly par with the hk416.
SCAR-L is not useful but SCAR-H is best for many roles, it is very god like rifle.

Lets see what our boys end up with.even in the 7.62 competition everyone was expecting tar7 to win but last an unknown rifle sig716 won it.so this time too we can see a lot of twists

Bullpup for infantry not good.
The american 6.8 gun competition will be a massive leap in gun history.there is also developing muzzle break suppressor hibrid to go with the rifle so it will reduce recoil and supress the weapon and we are here with an ak103m(cough)ak203

Especially when you have two cocky neighbors on both ends. But on serious note, Bullpups are rather not used because they haven't fared as well as a traditional rifle design AND inducting them means too much trainings will have to be given to the troops.

French used the FAMAS, English use SA80, Chinkies use Type 95, Iraqis have HS made VHS, Myanmar has T97 NSR(5.56 version of Type 95). So bullpups are operational with troops but they haven't been as successful as maybe an AR or an AK platform.

AR and AK are very flexible to use, its like you grab the gun and it runs smoothely, Bullpups are not good, not accurate.

Type 64 smg.
Am glad Type-64 is mentioned.
In a way it was choyna's silenced mini-assault rifle, as it fired a shortened assault rifle round, 7.62x25mm Type 64 subsonic round that was based on 7.62x39mm,and made dimensionally similar to 7.62x25mm Tokarev, in fact you can fire both Type 64 and Tokarev rounds from it

Barrel on it was ported type with certain vent holes of approx 3 mm diameter, and a large suppressor was issued with it, alternatively you can take that off and use it like a regular SMG,as shown in pics below, albeit iron sights on it were mounted on the detachable suppressor unit so without it i wonder how they aimed it on targed during unsuppressed fire

Anyway there were two magazine configurations available,20-rounder and 30-rounder ones, both shown below

It was an open bolt SMG with tremendiously higher rate of fire, above 1200 rounds per minute so even a 'short' burst from it would've lasted for really shorter time

Type 64 SMG with suppressor installed, notice how sights are mounted on suppressor rather than the gun itself

Hope they go with ARAD.
PLR could pitch it but my brain tells me they will again pitch ace21. Sig has any carbine variant other than mcx sbr that they can pitch in the competition?

They have 5.56mm NATO version of SIG716i TREAD that they sold to us, named M400 TREAD i.e. this

practically another direct impingement AR-15 pattern rifle
while this one's in 16 inch barrel configuration i believe making an M4 equivalent by shorterning barrel to 14.5inch would be a child's play for them, in case they want to participate.
But then again they have SIG MCX to sell, too, so why offer a cheap option when they can offer premium one and earn more malaai.

They have the mcx sbr and its costly but sig has reduced prices and shown its magic in the sig716i so may expect something from them too and sig doesn't take any hoooman right issues they take it just like business
