its going to be a big mess close to our doorsteps. Iran isn't Syria which was already frail with civil unrest. For sure Russia will come in direct support and other countries will back it indirectly. It will be overstretch for muricans to go full war with Iran when they have already made so many enemies and upset several allies. We may face diplomatic dilemma in that case as all parties(US, Isreal, Russia, Iran, Saudis, UAE) involved are important to our regional and global interest. Even being neutral will cost us. Definitely we need to navigate smartly.
lately america's standard response has been a one or two rounds of Tomahawk strikes. we will know the future course of this escalation only after the tomahawk strikes.

In reality we don't know what will happen if USA strikes. May there won't be any response by any other country other than condemning the attack. Russia and China can support but from backdoor by selling arms.

Strength is in unity. Divided they fall. Militancy is mostly brought down by internal differences, clashes, infighting within ranks etc. And it is these moles who help in creating such micro mutinies which create divisions.
The question is at what price and what cost ? And more than that for what ?
Creating a Bhindrawala to split Akalies was a political move rather than any national interest.
NSCN has never been weakened by splits into IM and K factions. Rather that is creating problems today.
Scores of such examples can be given. Ultimately the damn things stop at Army's doors.

Idk about what happens w/ Iran, but this would've been an excellent opportunity to squeeze Pakistan's nuts while the world was focused somewhere else.
No.. the proximity of Pakistan to Iran will help Pakistan just like it helped Pakistan during both Afghan wars...

Doubt it. US needs Pak less against Iran since carrier groups + entire GCC can be used as launching pad against Iran - plus US has pre-existing presence in Iraq anyways.

Additionally Pak will do everything in its power to not become a pawn against Iran - in which case they're useless to US and GCC, and they wouldn't care what happens to Pak. Meanwhile, if Pak does give in, and helps US & GCC; I expect Iran to extract some sort of price - and Afghanistan & India will be happy to join the party.

On June 19, Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully test-fired a series of Russian air-to-air missile from its front-line combat aircraft Sukhoi-30 MKI off Odisha coast aimed at gauging the killing efficiency of the weapon system. While local media didn’t reveal which new air to air missiles was tested, but according to Russian media outlet ” Sputnik”, IAF tested Three Next Generation Air to Air Missile. According to ” Sputnik”, India tested RVV-BD also known as R-37M a revolutionary new air to air missile which till now has been deployed only on Russian MiG-31 interceptors. R-37M also kicked named as ‘AWACS Killer’ has an engagement range of 300km and is seen as a platform designed to target large enemy support aircraft such as tankers, command centers and AWACS platforms operating deep in its own airspace. RVV-BD missile weighs 500-kg and features a 60-kg warhead and usually during the endgame is capable of 8g maneuvering and can fly at Mach 6 speeds at a range of 300km. The second missile which was tested reportedly was RVV-MD also known as R-74, which is an export version of the R-74, and successor to the R-73 missile which comes with increased anti-jamming protection, including optical jamming. R-73 air-to-air missile was used by IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman while flying his Mig-21Bis to shoot down a Pakistan Air Force F-16 on 27 February when the two countries were engaged in an aerial clash. The Third New Long-range Next Generation Air to Air Missile tested reportedly was RVV-SD also known as R-77-1, which is baseline R-77 with a streamlined nose, active radar seeker head, and new fins. R-77 which were armed on two Sukhoi-Su-30MKI failed to get firing clearance while Pakistani F-16 fired 4-5 AIM-120C5 AMRAAMs from long range without any success against Su-30MKI. The nation’s stockpile dipped due to an increased number of combat air patrol missions along the border with Pakistan, involving its main fighters, such as the Su-30MKI, MiG-29, and Mirage 2000 and IAF recently placed orders under emergency purchase for nearly 700 air to air missile from Russia and recent testing of new air to air missile were from the sample batch supplied by Russia to India for evaluation purpose.

India Begins User Trials of Russian Air-to-Air Missiles, Destroys UK-Made Drone in Drill

In the first indication that Russian missiles are being used by India's primary warplanes, including the Su-30MKI and Mirage 2000, the Indian Air Force has started user trials of next generation air-to-air missiles manufactured by Vympel, a subsidiary of Russia's consolidated JSC Tactical Missiles Corporation.

New Delhi (Sputnik): The Indian Air Force (IAF) began user trials of extended-range, Russian-made air-to-air missiles on Wednesday. On the first day, the IAF test fired the air-to-air missile from a Sukhoi-30 MKI combat aircraft; it destroyed a UK-made Banshee drone off the coast of Odisha.

“The aircraft that took off from Kalaikunda air base in West Bengal (state) fired the beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile after taking several sorties,” local media reported without identifying the missile.

It was reported earlier that the IAF had asked to be able to immediately purchase the air-to-air missiles and guided missiles after the mid-February escalation along the western border.

The nation's stockpile dipped due to an increased number of combat air patrol missions along the border with Pakistan, involving its main fighters, such as the Su-30MKI, MiG-29, and Mirage 2000.

It is believed that the missiles that it has been testing at the eastern base are RVV-MD short-range missiles, RVV-SD medium-range missiles, and RVV-BD beyond visual range missiles - the next generation of Vympel’s air-to-air missiles.

Vympel is the manufacturer of the R-73 air-to-air missile, which was used by IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman to shoot down a Pakistan Air Force F-16 on 27 February when the two countries engaged in an aerial clash.

The RVV-BD missile weighs 500-kg and features a 60-kg warhead. During the endgame, it is capable of 8g manoeuvring, flying at Mach 6. The RVV-MD is ab export version of the R-74, which has increased anti-jamming protection, including optical jamming.

Earlier, it was reported that the Indian Air Force intended to replace the Su-30 MKI's current close combat missile — the Russian-built Vympel R-73 — with the European ASRAAM heat-seeking close combat air-to-air missile in phases.

Now I think Elon Musk is the mastermind behind this US-Iran tension.
Not only Musk, it's the oil cartel that is upping the ante in the Middle East. However this will be controlled and they will make sure it doesn't blow into a full fledged war.

Trump has vested interests in the rising oil prices and his cronies have already started laughing all the way to the bank. The aim is to increase oil prices to around 80-100 dollars a barrel so the oil cartel makes a killing.

So be prepared for these levels which would be the new normal and be prepared to shell out > Rs 90 a liter of petrol in the near future.

Well so, GPS ain't the only guidance in place and even if the GPS failed it would use image mapping to find its target. So, not sure how it could miss and not sure if the Aussie research group analysis holds any value at all.
“Image guidance mode” is not default unless high quality images of target are fed into the system beforehand. If no images available to match then it will glide to the target based on GPS data. If GPS is jammed then it will follow INS (with much less accuracy).

So, no reason to believe IAF dint feed HQ images of the target into the system and the munitions dint solely rely on GPS.

Pakistan airspace to open only if India promises to not repeat Balakot

ISLAMABAD: The Imran Khan government will continue the closure of its eastern airspace for flights from and to India until there is a commitment from New Delhi that it will not repeat Balakot-like air strikes inside the Pakistani territory.
Islamabad had shut the airspace on February 26 this year following the Indian airstrikes inside Pakistan, on a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in
Balakot, in retaliation to a suicide bombing that killed 44 Indian police personnel in Pulwama Kashmir on February 14.
Well-placed sources told TOI that though the ban has been extended till June 28, Pakistan is likely to keep the airspace shut for India until there is some assurance from New Delhi that there would be no repetition of Balakot like a strike................
First they offered us to open Air space only if we call back our soldiers from LoC. Seeing no response from our side, now they want a guarantee not to bang them again. Waah Doval ji Waah.

So, Pakis have closed their air space to India to prevent Balakot like strikes?
So, next time India gets intel that Jaish or Lashkar is having a massive training camp and Modi orders an airstrike....Pakis are expecting IAF be like "sorry sir ji ! airspace is closed. we cannot fly to the target"??????
Paki ke dimaag ke kya kahne!!
