why would Chinese randomly construct a road inside their area unless until they find it strategically advantageous?
They are not randomly constructing the road. Read the report carefully. They are widening the existing road on their side. Now this has implications, but India can't do anything in this regard unless and untill they breach the tri-junction or infiltrate into Bhutanese territory.

No one denies that road to Doklam has a strategic value. But if it is in their territory, then we can't say a word.

We can't say a word even if they construct military base inside their territory.

We intervened in Doklam as the road construction started in the Disputed territory. Before our intervention, Bhutan had objected it. Otherwise we wouldn't have intervened in the first place.

Though New friendship treaty allows us to guide the foreign policy of Bhutan, theoritically we can't order them to oppose it.

To gather international support, we should be morally correct! Always!! China has a huge economy, so is India. World needs trade relationship with both of us. World also needs a reason to support only one of us without hurting trade and relations with others. That's where being "Morally Correct" comes into picture.

My point is

they want to stretch a road towards trijunction that's their motive because of strategic location.

If they are not building there then where are they building and why?

Report says they are widening the road

Singed by BSF fire, Pak Rangers commit to uphold ceasefire along border in J&K
The intensity of the BSF’s Operation Arjun in retaliation against sniper attacks and shelling on Indian villages forced Pakistan Rangers to request a flag meeting of sector commanders.

Hit hard by the Border Security Force’s (BSF) punitive fire during Operation Arjun, Pakistan Rangers at a sector commander level flag meeting at Octroi border outpost in RS Pura sector in Jammu district on Friday said they would observe the November 2003 ceasefire agreement.

“Pakistan Rangers assured us to hold the sanctity of ceasefire agreement of November 2003 and BSF assured them that it won’t initiate first fire but reserves the right to hit back, if provoked,” said an Intelligence official, privy to the meeting.

Following Operation Arjun that targeted farms and residences of ISI officers and retired Pakistani army officials in retaliation to Pakistani sniper fire, Pakistan Rangers’ Punjab DG Maj Gen Asgar Naveed Hayat Khan had twice called BSF director KK Sharma on September 23 and September 25 requesting to hold fire.

“On the request of Pakistan Rangers, a sector commander level flag meeting was held between BSF and Rangers on Friday from 1100 hours to 1245 hours in Suchetgarh area,” said an official release issued here.

The BSF delegation comprising 17 officers was led by DIG BSF Jammu Sector P S Dhiman while the Rangers’ delegation of 14 officers was headed by Sector Commander Chenab Rangers, Sialkot Brig Amjad Hussain. The Pakistani delegation also included three wing commanders.

The last sector commander level meeting was held on March 9 this year.

“This meeting was the first sector commander level meeting on the request of Pak Rangers between two border guarding forces since heavy shelling and firing on the International Border in the September in which BSF gave strong calibrated reply to Pakistan,” the statement said.

During this period, the BSF successfully foiled a number of infiltration attempts and killed one intruder on September 4 in the Arnia sector.

At the meeting, BSF strongly objected to Pakistan’s dastardly acts of snipping of two BSF troopers - constable Brijendra Bahadur and constable K K Apparao on September 14 and August 25 respectively while they were on duty at forward points along the border fence.

The BSF also protested against unprovoked cross border firing and shelling on number of Indian border villages targeting innocent civilians and their properties.

It said such provocations will not be tolerated and shall be responded with equal and more measures.

Beside discussion on number of other issues related to border management, BSF strongly objected to movement of armed intruders in close vicinity of international boundary at night for attempting intrusion into India from Pakistani territory.

The Pakistan Rangers assured the BSF that they would undertake required measures to maintain peace on the border with a request that BSF should also exercise restraint to the optimum in its counter measures so as to ensure that minimum loss of civilians is caused on Pakistani side.

It was decided to re-energize instant communication between field commanders, whenever required, to resolve the petty matters.

Both sides agreed for expeditious implementation of the decisions taken in the earlier meeting and committed to each other to maintain peace and tranquility at the international border.

I used to think that as well until I saw the BSF camo in action. Look up Nat Geo's BSF documentary. That weird looking camo is very effective in Thar desert.

LOL! :biggrin2::biggrin2:
https://www.dawn.com/news/1362001/pakistan-warns-india-against-targeting-its-n-installations

WASHINGTON: Foreign Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif warned on Thursday that if India launched a surgical strike on the country’s nuclear installations, nobody should expect restraint from Pakistan either.

Indian Air Force chief B.S. Dhanoa said on Wednesday that if India needed to carry out a surgical strike, his aircraft could target Pakistan’s nuclear installations and destroy them.

The foreign minister addressed the Indian air chief’s remarks at a talk at the US Institute of Peace in Washington on Thursday, urging Indian leaders not to contemplate such actions as those could have dire consequences.

“Yesterday, the Indian air chief said we will hit, through another surgical strike, Pakistan’s nuclear installations. If that happens, nobody should expect restraint from us. That’s the most diplomatic language I can use,” said Mr Asif.

The foreign minister, who is in Washington on a three-day official visit, met US National Security Adviser Gen H.R. McMaster on Thursday, a day after he held wide-ranging talks with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. While both US and Pakistani sides have described the Asif-Tillerson talks as “positive” and “useful”, Mr Asif indicated that his meeting with Gen McMaster was not as friendly as the earlier meeting.

“I will not be extravagant, yesterday’s meeting went very well, today’s meeting with Gen McMaster in the morning, I would be a bit cautious about it. But it was good. It was good. It wasn’t bad,” said the foreign minister when asked if his trip to Washington was going well.

Talks with Tillerson
The shared interest in a secure, prosperous and democratic Pakistan was one of the key issues discussed in a frank conversation between Mr Tillerson and Mr Asif, says the US State Department.

The two top diplomats met at the State Department in Washington on Wednesday for talks aimed at halting a rapid deterioration in bilateral ties.

“They talked about the importance of partnering together to establish peace and prosperity in the region. They talked about their mutual commitment to advancing a multifaceted relationship between the United States and Pakistan based on our shared interest in a secure, prosperous, and democratic Pakistan,” said State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert when asked what was discussed in the meeting.

“The foreign minister and the secretary talked about the president’s South Asia strategy that was announced back in August. They also exchanged ideas about how our countries can work together to help stabilise Afghanistan,” she added.

Although their relations were already tense, the tensions worsened after US President Donald Trump’s Aug 21 policy speech in which he warned Pakistan to eradicate alleged terrorist safe havens from its soil or be ready for the consequences.

Later, senior US officials told various media outlets that the United States could stop providing economic and military assistance to Pakistan, degrade its status of a major non-Nato ally and place Pakistani officials with alleged ties to terrorists on a terrorist-watch list.

At the State Department briefing, a journalist pointed out that when the new US strategy was unveiled, the language about US-Pakistani ties was much harsher than what Secretary Tillerson used in his remarks after the meeting. “Was none of (the punitive actions underlined by US officials) discussed with the Pakistani foreign minister?” the journalist asked.

“We typically don’t provide the fulsome types of readouts, we don’t do a play-by-play, a blow-by-blow of everything that happens in our private diplomatic conversations,” the spokesperson responded.

“What I just read to you, that’s what I can provide to you from the meeting. I know our conversations with the Pakistani government continue to be frank,” she added.

Another journalist reminded Ms Nauert that in response to a question at this stakeout on Wednesday, Secretary Tillerson had expressed concerns about the future of government of Pakistan. “What did he mean by that?”

Ms Nauert said she did not get the chance to ask the secretary about those remarks and that’s why she did not know what he meant.

Responding to a question about US-Pakistan relations at his stakeout, Secretary Tillerson had said: “We have concerns about the future of Pakistan’s government too, in terms of them — we want their government to be stable. We want it to be peaceful. And many of the same issues they’re struggling with inside of Pakistan are our issues.”

Saudi Arabia signs agreement to manufacture Russian weapons locally

The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Russia's state company for exporting military products ROSOBORONEXPORT to manufacture high-grade military equipment in the kingdom.

The agreement, SAMI announced, includes the transfer of technology for the local production of the Kornet-EM anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system, the TOS-1A advanced multiple rocket launcher and AGS-30 automatic grenade launchers with grenades.

Our media presstitutes never ask the most obvious questions. Of the three ingredients for sustainable terrorism,

1. We know the cadres are paki locals.
2. Weapons, the Chinese weapons and ammo are lethal, no doubt about it but none of the above i.e. cadres and weapons, can be obtained without the significant third ingredient, funding. Which country or countries funds the paki army should be answered before jumping to the 4th ingredient.
Funding is wahabi funding and chinese funding.

The main point is the chinese weapons have escalated the matter.
usage armour-piercing ammunition as well as hard steel rounds has dramatically escalated the counter-insurgency battle in Kashmir
