Air defence system of India is primarily geared towards stopping aircrafts. Recent incidents prove that our ADS is quite good against unmanned aircrafts (UAV, UCV) as well.

Stopping cruise missiles and ballistic missiles is far more difficult and such defence is limited to high value and/or strategic installations. Effectiveness of such systems remains to be seen.

I would think that ADS of India is decent enough though one must be realistic.

North East is a very difficult terrain so mishaps will happen. No Chini mystery weapons here. Point is to minimise these accidents.

AN-32s are very old and had MOD, i.e IAF, bureaucracy and their political masters possessed an ounce of working brain they would have had merged AN-32 replacement with Avro replacement.

Often, the simplest explanation is the best explanation. So the accident probably is the most likely cause. The rugged terrain in the Himalaya made it impossible to find the wreckage of Su-30-MKI that disappeared there but I am not sure why we were not able to find the wreckage of AN-32 that disappeared in the Andaman Sea. Also, airplanes even the heavy ones do not go down that suddenly especially if they have some altitude to work with. So the question is why the pilot was not able to radio before the crash. It is quite possible that in the wake of emergency, pilot's first reaction was to try to control the airplane instead of trying to radio the command & control. Still, it is a cause for concern. I am particularly concerned about the disappearance of AN-32 over Andaman Sea.

I think Paki is mostly hot air.

They engage in low cost war. When faced with high cost war and escalation, they sue for peace.

India has two squad of s300 pmu for defence of delhi and mumbai.

Plus several squad of Akash for major defence installations.

These two would have anti missile capability.

There may be prithvi air defence anti ballistic missile system too.
