But, targeting 3 F-16s on tarmac would have caused enough damage to be visible even via satellite images available open source ( assuming pakis managed to shift all debris before day break )
Runways can be repaired overnight, I guess.

This is one of the major reasons why the paki sir space has been kept closed for so long
My questions is how did Pak react ?
Did they retaliate, if not then why ?
Was there any confrontation between IAF and PAF we don't know about ?

That's the "problem" with current govt. They don't accept anything unless forced to do. They actually never accepted anything since SS1. Even balakote was declared by pak and India was forced to accept. They never properly accepted other strikes even on 27th (meant to be 3 places) . Kadi ninda did mention a third strike but did not elaborate and did not follow up.
Basically, what officially happens is what pak admits. What pak admits is only what it has the capacity and intent to respond to, otherwise it cannot accept.
Even for India, if China has a role in disappearances of our aircraft, we can only accuse it, if we have the capacity to do the same. If not, we will not declare it. Unfortunate but true.
This is not the first time an Indian military aircraft has disappeared like that. I believe there were two other incidents: one was in A&N area and another one was in Arunanchal area. If it is China, what kind of technology could they be using? This last incident was well within Indian airspace. If Chinese had used a missile to down this aircraft, it would have been spotted over Indian airspace. LASER weapon sounds too futuristic but it is not entirely impossible. However, if Chinese had such a weapon, they would have advertise it all over the world. They are not shy about displaying their military prowess.

Bdw @tigerhill bro....
Is India prepared for missile strike from pak....
Sir, what kind of question is that ?
If Pakistan has missiles does India has an option not to be prepared ?.
What is "remaining prepared" meant to you?? That is please say "What does in involve"?
Then say if India is prepared or not.
If not what can India do ?

Unless you suggest " Jahanpanah tussi great ho, tohfa kabool karo ..."...:yo:

North East is a very difficult terrain so mishaps will happen. No Chini mystery weapons here. Point is to minimise these accidents.

AN-32s are very old and had MOD, i.e IAF, bureaucracy and their political masters possessed an ounce of working brain they would have had merged AN-32 replacement with Avro replacement.

Paki pee de eff is still busy in where is AN 32 while they lost more Porkis since AN 32 went off radar.

Doesn't take much effort why they are still begging to IMF while shipee-ac turned out to be big leamon while losing their baby producing machines.

Hide your farts under Salwar while laugh out loud on armpit hair of adversary. Interestingly Mango Abduls don't care about their fallen soldiers. They accept their "hunters" with glory while all else is collateral damage including uniforms.

Imraand has written a letter now to Modi.. begging for talks... WTF.. first foreign secretary comes here begging.. then slimy bastard qureshi writes to Jaishankar today asking for talks... Now the playboy nutcase Imran himself writes a letter... WTF.. So much for Paki stamina and staying power... But once we let them recover, they will be back again to their usual antics... Shameless assholes..

About Tarbela- A lot is being said about it. Somehow , and this is my inference, that maybe the incident I am talking about is slowly coming out into the open via twitter messages such as tarbela.. Just a hunch

About runways being repaired- Most Air forces can repair a runway in 3-4 hours, irrespective of the runway bombs being used.
This is why when countries go to war, it is almost next to impossible to decimate airfield runways unless there is complete air dominance like the US has in its theatres of war.

Did Pakistan respond?
No it did not.
It was told in no uncertain terms that this was a strike in response to the feb 27 attack.
Any response to this would lead to a full scale retaliation from the IAF and maybe even other wings of the forces.

They were clearly told that now the escalation matrix is in your hands. We will not claim anything and you dont need to as well.

Did Pak try to intercept attack.?
I dont know
I didnt ask
My knowledge of tactics tells me that maybe a significant no of aircraft were used to create temporary air dominance in a certain theatre.
When you combine that with awacs and su30 bvr combat ready planes, most adversary aircrafts would have gone cold.

My take
I think pakis realised they are in no position to fight.. Their marquee planes were decimated and they had no objective of going to war.
However these actions have really opened up significant strategic options for India, and we can be sure that their behaviour will change as India will only get more aggressive from hereon.

No need to go into conspiracy theories.. Check out this article from Air Marshal Dhiraj Kukreja... It's very tough operating at these ALGs

Imran Khan writes to PM Modi, says Pakistan wants talks with India to resolve all disputes
A day after India said there will be no bilateral meeting with Pakistan on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in a letter to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Friday said Islamabad wants talks with New Delhi to resolve all reconcilable problems, including the Kashmir issue, according to a media report.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

But IK said will talk to the NEW GOVT in India.
well!!!

IMO, simple diplomatic protocol when a New govt takes charge in the neighborhood..
