Okay, time for a question. Weren't we already using ATGM's & rockets? In these very thread we have recorded their use on LOC. Wasn't it how we destroyed their 7 bunkers in a day? The Pakistani are just trying to reach our level of escalation & nothing more. Our fanbois who advocate war should take notes. They are losing their cool when the enemy is trying to match us in escalation & then they talk about war. Shows that Indian fanbois are all same whether it be cricket or war

Regarding yesterday's incident. An interesting observation is the army highlighted & put special focus on type of weapon used. Seems they were already planning to escalate further & are going to use this incident as a justification.

Why are we even taking it as ceasefire violation, it's an attack by Pak army on Indian army positions and we must decimate every Pakistani post in that sector and let them know it's the Indian Army which controls escalation.

Its all well and good to wait for the opposition to lose their cool and escalate, but ATGM is already a steep escalation. Lets see what our response is.

We were using ATGMs before and seems Pakis have matched us and started using atgms too. Good move. It gives us a reason to use even higher caliber weapons causing more destruction of Pak terror infrastructure. Army was constructing Bunkers along LoC coz they were preparing for an escalation in weapons usage.

In order to have an upper hand on LAC, India needs upgraded hardware: here's a list of items that India seriously lacks giving Pakistan an option to continue cross LAC ventures.

1. Fire finder radars for mortars. Current weapon locating radars such as Swathi are incapable of tracking 51mm and 81mm mortars fire, thus forcing indiscriminate shelling by Indian forces. Portable mortar fire finding radars are affordable and extremely useful for current situation on LAC. This should force Pakistanis to shoot and scoot every time they fire a mortar shell, thus reducing rate and intensity.

2. Fire and Update anti-tank missiles. ATGM with ability to lock on after launch to see and engage targets hiding behind the ridge line or mountain. Spike missile is a great addition for LOC war. At present only visible target can be engaged by Indian ATGM.

Every bunker is penetrable. Some forward posts will just be a few sandbags and stones constructed for minimal protection they will surely give away. Every bunber csnt a be the fuhrer bunker :/ What's your solution ? Bunker without firing holes? Or observation windows :/

No isreali/indian drones we have currently carry missiles. They are Only spy/observation drones. with our borders spanning 100s of kms a single post can't be under constant drone surveillance.
Blood will always flow. No country retained its independence and freedom by newspaper hullabaloo and power of pen. Even the army will have taken possible casualties into account when we started escalating.

WW2 bunker... simple concrete bunker is not much innovative technically and/or pricey!

Trump is looking for a reason to run away from Afghan, even the minute presence of IA will be an excuse for Trump to leave Afghan and IA will have to stay to stop Pro Pak Taliban.

Afghan has always been graveyard of empires and I feel that Pak is trying to push IA into that quagmire.

I think India will wait for American and Ghani's response. But, we'll never know what might happen next.

Attacking PoK will not help in reliving Afghan forces to recapture their lost peaks.

Not to mention about holding PoK bunkers. PoK and Pak borders are practically non existent. It will be 1990's all over again.

When you said about small Indian contingent, do you have any number in mind, I have. @Mikesingh sirji correct me if I am wrong, I expect at least 1 division of force to recapture Afghan peaks, after IAF pulverizing Pak positions in the mountains.

Presence of IA would make Trump to force Modi to put boots on ground. Backing now would send wrong signals to Ghani and rest of allies counting on India. Before we even understand, transition of Afghan security from US army to IA would happen.

There are many variables and sacrifices PA will have to make and every trap had to be spun accurately by ISI & PA. And there is one more issue even after IA getting into Afghan war. Even the mighty empires couldn't hold Afghan due to the hostility of Afghan and foreign forces. This hostility is absent between India and Afghan (till date). Rather than directly jumping into action, IA might assist Afghan army just like Russia assisted SAA. If this is to happen, the Pak will be fucked up from all the sides.

We're yet to receive response from Afghan or America or heck even from Pak(i.e. why they occupied). I am sure GoI will take appropriate action.
