Well, there's some truth to what he's trying to say, as in, the folks living in colder climates tend to be bigger in stature as compared to the ones living in warmer climatic conditions, case in point is the Nordics/ Anglos as compared to Southern Europeans. The North's industrial advantage is what allowed it to get the upper hand against an Agrarian South in the US civil war.

The industrial advantage became an even bigger factor as the war went on and South used up it's stockpile with no Industry to replenish supplies.

2) Ukrainians are a lot more woke than Russians.

So, both resources wise and mentality wise, Russians are better suited for war than Ukrainians.
