We always buy russian stuff , started from mig.
India has operated almost all migs, except may be mig 15 , 17 and 19.
All migs , till mig 29.
As for sukhois, su 7 , su 30 mk , su 30 mki.
We will buy this thing also.
India incurred the cost of developing su 57 for some time also.
Time for us to change.
We are now moving close to NATO block and also reducing our dependence on Russia.

Buying SU-75 will only harm us.

This is not a lightweight fighter, more like a medium weight fighter. And given its size I wonder what kind of Russian engine can sufficiently power this thing...
Either al 41 series or a derivative of Izdeliye 30. What else is there??

Anyway given the progress su57 ( still only 2 jets produced) this thing won't be flying anytime soon .

as the s70 has got the stealthy rectangular nozzle and there are reports that su 57 will also be upgraded to rectangular nozzle, I am now wondering that su 75 may also get the rectangular nozzle instead of serrated one.

This in turn will reduce the rcs of aircraft even further.

If they have used some specialized meta-materials then this could become like f35 (in-terms of stealth, not ew and other things)

Not even close. Russia is still decades behind west in aviation specially military aviation. only thing they have made serious progress is in armoured vehicles & nuclear submarines lately....rest is all crap.

India was a neutral country from the first day. But the then political short-sightedness resulted in misplaced priorities and therefore India had little option but to go for Soviet weaponry. Remember in 1962 war Chicha requested US to help with arms. The response was that we were soft on commies (the logic defies me) because of 1955 visit of Soviet premier and 1961 war and defeat of Portugal.

Today is a different story. Look at the Indian defence priority pipeline. There are no funds for additional types except the ones planned immediately for the next 15 years.
