Then do it yourself

Who is stopping you.
Seems you got a hit by a contrary argument !
For comparison part, I would certainly like to contribute for comparing LCA development time with M2K/F-16 program. Will post it soon.

1. First tranche of time line of evolution of F-16/F-18- Entry to 4th Gen Era. I would add the Mirage 2000 & Mig 29 evolution later; This time line is important as M2K & MIG 29 were, in fact, developed under influence or to counter these teens inducted by the US armed forces.

2. Lots of points to debate about particularly w.r.t Tejas, guiding its development and evolution to a logical end with lessons learnt from history.

3. Going through the literature, I could sense that ++/0.5 addition to 4th Gen fighters is more attributed to element of stealth, composite airframe, & kinematic performance in terms of maneuverability & super-cruise. Su-35, however, is an odd fellow with huge RCS; may be the feature of active cancellation has been taken as stealth feature. Sensors (RADAR, RWR, Jammers etc) could be fitted with ease to F-4s with its big nose cone & airframe, however, it will not result into 4++ gen fighter.

4. Information shown in the timelines are available on internet; mostly on wikipedia. I also referred other open literature for checking its authenticity.

Superbly rebutted ! Hope the CDS and IAF quickly sign the deal for 83 Tejas MK1A and also commit themselves for MWF and AMCA , and more importantly categorically say they will not import anymore aircraft apart from the ongoing rafales. And HAL needs to pull up its socks and start quicker production dammit !

Also I wonder why when such hitjob articles are published, the authors are not taken to task by the armed forces or HAL for publishing blatant lies. There should be a lawsuit and they should be sued to hell and back.

Some facts about tejas

HAL employees from Bengaluru's containment zones forced to attend office
News Indian Express
Published: 17th May 2020 04:30 PM

BENGALURU: The employees of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) have raised concerns about the conduct of COVID-19 measures taken at the factory. Employees allege that several of them are being forced to come out for work even from containment zones such as Padarayanapura. If they refuse they are forced to face salary cuts.

“There are already 20,000 employees. This can pose a huge risk for us,” said an employee. “Hand sanitisers and masks were given only recently and we are working shifts from 7 am to 3 pm and 3.30 pm to 11.30 pm. We have to travel with our own private transport. There is no other option for us since the management is not cooperative,” the employee added.

Another employee also added that a protest was held outside the HAL Union office last week. However, the police arrived and asked the crowd to disperse due to the COVID-19 guidelines. Sources said that the matter was taken to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao who reportedly informed the HAL HR on measures to be taken. However, no response was given considering that HAL is answerable only to the Chief Secretary of the state, sources said.

HAL spokesperson said in a press note available with The New Indian Express that it is “back to its normal operations since April 28 after little over one month break due to COVID-19 pandemic. HAL has put in place strict measures to ensure the safety of its employees working at its locations across the country. These measures not only comply with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) but are also innovative. Like placing pedal-based hands-free sanitizer dispenser developed by HAL are being thought of,” it said.

HAL spokesperson also told TNIE that those who are facing difficulties can write a letter to the management and it will be considered. “Masks and gloves have been distributed to employees and wearing of mask at workplace is practiced,” he said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield) M N Anucheth was unavailable for comment.

These types of media writing will be cropped up always because they earn their bread and butter by writing these sheets but what I wonder is why ada/drdo is a silent spectator rather they should sue the media outlet.

Because they’re sarkari babus and clueless when it comes to perception management. What can you expect from they who still record ISRO launches in 320x240 resolution analog cameras, and who are so bad at marketing that school kids are going on tour to NASA but don’t know where ISRO is !

This is where I agree with them. They already got limited funds, for important stuff RnD or pre-order manufacturing (like LCH).

Perception of randos sufferung from Brochuritis on internet don't mean shit... Actual AF, defence acquisition officials of any country who will decide & oversee any sales do understand these variables as well as performance parameters.

Agreed with your point of view. At the same time they are accountable to the goi, they don't give % for selling their products or they don't advertise their products much and should be accountable to the end user also but they don't work much in sync with their primary end user. Let's look at the Pentagon examples as they work in sync with a lot of OEMs. At the same time their quality control and marketing unit remain virtually non existant. Because of that their products suffer a lot in terms of selling abilities. For example insas was the most suffer but when designed it was one of best designed rifle of that time but at the time of production there was issue in quality management. In this age of globalisation, privatisation, marketistion and liberalisation there will be issues of survival without proper marketing and quality management facilities than otherwise.

Great article on all Radar & IR jamming systems:

Missile Countermeasures vs Counter-countermeasures

Tejas or LCH don't to suffer from quality control issues... I personally find it hard to make any deductions present or future situation based on Congress era shitfest. Let's see how the corporatisation of OFB turns out.

Just flares are soon going to be not enough (may already be the case) we need Directional IR jamming too... As of now India is solely concentrating on radar jamming tech, but as 27th proved we can't really put all our eggs in the BVR basket.

No matter how much emergy/range dual-pulse Astra2 or SDFR Astra3 has, as jammed missile will always miss. That means WVR against IR weapons.

Education along with Experience taught people how not to distract from priorities. ADA/ DRDO got work in hand which they have to complete so why waste your energy on shit media posts. Any responsible person/ entity can't win argument against irresponsible media because whatever Govt. organization say will go into record ( confidentiality issue also ) but same not applied for media. There will never be equal playing field

On a serious note:

Can a miniaturized side looking AESA radar, be fitted on vertical stabiliser of 5th gen fighter jets?.. Wouldn't it be better than Russian rear look tail-radars?
SU57 X-Band AESA are also mounted to its cheeks does it already.

An Article talks about countering "Defensive Notching" is done using its the cheek mounted X Band radar. The Russian thought this through gracefully.

better body-blending would be in the F-22 :lehappy: In some respects, that Su-57 looks like a hitjob of 5th-gen work.........

Don't want to derail the Topic on this thread, but I think its the earlier prototype version. The FOC variants has improved a lot. Just like Tejas FOC is much better in terms of Paint Job. Yes that Gun turret on Tejas was some shoddy job, but if that works than no issues.
