Yup you are more intelligent than all the knowledge diplomats in india?

Watch this. Government is filled with people who play this game daily.
Strategic autonomy is one of the most most most important thing for india.
We cannot leave all of our relationship which we have developed with French Russian etc for appeasement of Americans we have created them after years cooperation. S-400 is one bright answer to this it doesn't matter that system works or not but it shows we uphold our strategic in trusts

Government of india doesn't work for your appeasement. Hohoho india already bought American weapons worth more than 30-40 billion in total i cannot see big factories churning out some shit. Nothing not for navy not even Israeli now days are manufacturing barak-8 in india.

Saudis are investing multi billion $. Hundreds of $ but still we manage relationships with iran there biggest enemy.

Government works by keeping future strategic interests in mind. GOI doesn't seek any type of alliance that will be pathetic for indian interests.
Government seeks interdependent relationship.

53:0 days of alliance is already over. World is heading with multiple power's
Look.they can talk all they want but I see few more Apache, Chinooks, C-130J, Excalibur, M-777, MH-60 orders in pipeline. Thanks. I want those to be part of Make In India. No problem there.
You really are an idiot ....
Harder you try sillier it appears. Holding French passport doesn’t make you “French” and I bet no French considers you French.. but your another avatar IndiTexxxStyle looks better on you. Stick to that

Everyone here, don't get deceived!!

He can't be an Indian at all. Even if he has Indian heritage, he still has nothing to do with India but marketing US nationalism. Just go through his posts in last 2-3 pages.
Why so mean?

Judgemental than mean. I repeat, your posts don't reflect any kind of rationality but classic western teen nationalism. Just go through them.

There are less than 10% chances that you have Indian heritage. Even if you got, you are an American by heart. May be your family was one of those who settled in North America centuries ago.

India already manufactures and supplies NATO standard equipment to western countries. Whatever is left are only strategic or advanced tactical techs what US isn't willing to leak.
That’s not how it works....... IP rights are not breakable for even smallest things. For instance, one cannot copy certain harness designs of fighters- silly fact.

That's enough to sum up why we aren't willing to go to US. We produce what we have to export. If Americans want something else, they can give us drawings to manufacture. But India will never be a guaranteed permanent supplier for US arms.

The concern is strategic technologies obtaining which from a smaller but advanced & declining power like France and not a established superpower like USA whose empire as a superpower or still a great power, is here to stay for entire century. US most obviously would try to suppress all potential rivals in the end.

Then let me use word "conclusion" instead. Coz what I judged isn't based on perception but spectation.

My point remains, stop masquerading as Indian.

Who says I am American? I am an Indian IT worker in Silicon Valley on H1 visa. I am very proud of my Indian heritage. Show me some love!

+1. No Indian IT worker calls it a H1 visa. When an Indian IT guy in the US talks about the visa it is always H1-B. Judging from the quality of his posts likely Mexican illegal alien.

Guys dont call names , respect everyones opinions. Everyone is anonymous here.
Divisive politics and segregation have actually become the ethos of India, so no surprise here. Most of people here are powerless, to a great extent even uninformed about the things they are debating, yet rather than factually countering an argument, one is directly attacking other's visa credentials. Talk about fighting cats, eh..

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh , who arrived in the national capital from France visit on Thursday night, said that seven Rafale fighter jets will arrive in India by April or May next year.

Singh also said that India does not intend to intimidate anyone by increasing its defence capabilities.

"After induction of Rafale fighter aircraft , the combat capability of the Indian Air Force will increase. We don't want to intimidate anyone by doing so. We will neither fear anyone nor will we intimidate," the Defence Minister said.

He said that some IAF officers were undergoing training in France to operate the aircraft.

Inside the Reliance-Dassault factory that's making Falcon 2000 jets in Nagpur
The work continues nearly 1,000 km from India's national capital where this facility is not seen amicably in one of India's most vitiated political atmospheres.

In 3 years, fully locally assembled Dassault Falcon 2000 business jets will roll off an Indo-French 150,000 square foot production line near Nagpur's airport. With giant hangars currently under construction at Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd (DRAL) and the first Indian-built cockpit section of a Falcon 2000 - Dassault's bestselling business jet - to be delivered tomorrow to the French partner, work is apace to scale up towards assembling the full aircraft in India by 2022.

The work continues nearly 1,000 km from India's national capital where this facility is not seen amicably in one of India's most vitiated political atmospheres.

If 2019's election season in India ever had a list of the most controversial corporate sites, this one would effortlessly be top of the pack. It is here that France's Dassault and India's
Reliance Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group (ADAG) have forged a corporate alliance to build aircraft parts. A facility that has, over the months, become the highlight of a continuing political war waged by India's opposition Congress Party on the Narendra Modi government.

For the first time since its inception in 2017 - and certainly since the political scandal over India's Rafale jet deal broke - India Today was among a small group of reporters given access today to the facility. For a full year now, this facility has functioned physically far from public view, but relentlessly in allegations leveled. Its very existence has been the core of one of the most ferocious political punch-up in recent memory.

Asked if the political war has impacted work here at the facility, Dassault Aviation Senior Executive VP International Benoit Dussaugey says, "Not at all. We've made our road and we follow our path. We won't change our strategy based on politics. We are not affected and cannot comment on what is said by ZYZ."

With a current strength of 22 trained personnel assembling Falcon 2000 cockpit and front fuel tank sections, the facility will finally scale up to a workforce of 650 working on the full jet. By that time, the company hopes to be able to churn out 2 jets per month.

Whether Dassault will completely shift Falcon 2000 assembly work to India remains unclear - company executives said that union and labour issues continue to be politically sensitive in France at this time, but that a decision would be taken in a year.

"This facility makes big sense for Dassault because of the low cost of manufacture. We have a strategy here in India and feel it's a better place to do what we do than China," says Dusaaugey.

DRAL began with the stated vision of being a facility that would build parts for both business jets and fighter aircraft, though it will be confined to the former for the foreseeable future. Building parts for the Rafale would be a consideration with orders beyond the current 36, says Dussaugey, with this 31 acre facility to be where Rafales will be manufactured in the event that Dassault Aviation manages to win the Indian Air Force's 110 Made in India fighter contest.

Under the stewardship of CEO Sampathkumar S.T., DRAL is currently singularly focused on the Falcon 2000 - work that will allow Dassault to fulfil part of the large offsets obligations it has on the 7.8-billion euro Rafale deal. By September, when the first four of 36 Rafales are delivered to the IAF, Dassault will have to present a clear path on how it plans to fulfil its offsets obligations.

Dassault and Reliance announced their joint venture and the creation of DRAL on 3 October 2016, barely two weeks after India signed a 7.87-billion euro deal for 36 Rafale jets. A joint statement by the two companies declared that new joint venture would be be a 'key player in the execution of offset obligations, as a part of the 36 Rafale fighter jets purchase'.

Just over a year later, in October 2017, the DRAL facility at Nagpur was inaugurated, with both Dassault CEO Eric Trappier and Reliance ADAG's Anil Ambani along with his family in attendance. No one at the site could have known that just a few weeks later, the facility would become the symbolic centrepiece of an aggressive political campaign launched by the opposition Congress Party under the stewardship of its then de-facto (and later designated) leader Rahul Gandhi.

With both partners, Dassault and Reliance drawn into a very public and no-holds-barred political slugfest, leadership at both companies sought to dispel allegations of government cronyism, with Dassault's CEO indicating in an interview two months ago that the first Falcon business jet parts (as part of offsets in the Rafale deal) were under delivery.

Anil Ambani Co's JV with Dassault for making Falcon 2000 parts is operational in Maharashtra
The Mihan facility in Nagpur has been announced to manufacture important components for Falcon 2000 jets. The media also talked about the possibility of the final assembly of the entire aircraft in Mihan

(AGM) of Reliance Infrastructure on 30 September, the chairman Anil Ambani said the manufacturing venture with Dassault Aviation of France has become operational. He said "Our presence in the defence business is that we have joint ventures with Dassault Aviation of France and Thales of France. Both are operational with factories located in Mihan in Maharashtra."

India had ordered 36 Rafale fighter jets from Dassault for about Rs 59,000 crore in September 2016. During the Lok Sabha election time, it became a controversial issue as the opposition party Congress had targeted the government over selection of Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Defence as an offset partner for Dassault Aviation, the manufacturer of Rafale.

Indian Air Force (IAF) today received its first Rafale fighter jet in France from a series of 36 aircraft purchased from Dassault. The first batch of four Rafale jets will fly to their home base in India by May 2020. All 36 jets are expected to be delivered by September 2022. "Rafale will boost India's air dominance exponentially," defence minister Rajnath Singh said after receiving the aircraft in France.

In July 2018, the foundation stone of Rs 6,500 crore Dassault-Reliance aerospace facility was laid in Mihan, Nagpur. The deal has a 50 per cent offset clause, amounting to Rs 30,000 crore which is to be executed by Dassault, reported media in 2018.

The Mihan facility has been announced to manufacture important components for Falcon 2000 jets. The media also talked about the possibility of the final assembly of the entire aircraft in Mihan.

Anil Ambani said at the AGM that India's Defence budget is over Rs 3.18 lakh crore, of which Rs 1.1 lakh crore is capital outlay for the purchase of new weapons, platforms and military hardware. Almost 98 per cent purchase is imported into India, he said.

"Defence is a business which takes 5 to 10 years, thereafter it is a continuing growth-oriented business for the long term," he said. The defence business of Reliance Infrastructure has around 10 other strategic partnerships with major global partners in the areas of the Army, Navy and the Airforce.

"Your company aims to be amongst the top 5 defence companies in India while serving needs of self-reliance, technological advancement and becoming a global supplier," Ambani said. The Defence business in partnerships with global leaders will ensure optimal utilisation of our capital, he added.

"Going forward both the growth engines of engineering & construction and defense businesses will remain 'asset & capital light', without need for any large capital outlays," said Ambani, whose four businesses have defaulted loans and one of it, the telecom business, filed bankruptcy.
