Once this is inked, Rafale is going to break open in sales. UAE, Brasil... the sky is the limit!
till now Rafale faced political hurdles only, as compared to EFT Typhoon, Super Hornet, F16, F15 etc. these US's/EU's aircrafts can also be bought as an alternative, with compromise with quality and higher payments like in case of EFT Typhoon. and India doesn't need to have any type of pressure for its key arm deals......... and after winning MRCA, the biggest aircraft deal of the at present, it will also encourage others to do so, who may also dare to come out of the Western Pressures, to have this so called the best Multi-Role aircraft of today's world :thumb:

$10-bn defence deal to be signed during Hollande's 2-day visit
French president to meet industry leaders visit to boost economic ties between two countries
Nayanima Basu / New Delhi Feb 03, 2013,

With an eye on large business deals, French President Francois Hollande is expected to arrive on a two-day visit to India on February 14. This would be his first visit to India since he took charge as president last year.

During his visit, Hollande would visit New Delhi and Mumbai. He plans to call on President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. To boost economic ties between both countries, he would also meet industry leaders.

Hollande would lead a high-powered delegation comprising senior French Cabinet ministers and business leaders from leading French companies. Among the highlights of his visit would be the signing of the $10-billion deal relating to the purchase of 126 French Rafale medium multi-role combat aircraft ( MMRCA) manufactured by Dassault Aviation.

$10-bn defence deal to be signed during Hollande's 2-day visit

Thank God! Finalement!!! :thumb::france::india::whoo::grouphug::hail:

If MKI is any example, they will be knockdown kits for the first 100 aircraft.
it always takes time to induct a new aircraft, MKI was the newest one for IAF, the first one from Sukhoi, while the Rafale already has an existing infrastructure of Mirage2000H...... we hope for the directly delivery of the first batch of Rafale from France would start by 2015/16, and HAL would have got its running home production line by 2017/18 onward......... and with training etc, we hope it as the front line aircraft since 2018/19+ onward :thumb:

Okay... prove me wrong!
Just google Red flag and read.

Try to understand what 100 aircraft engaging each other in a 200x200 Km area at once would mean.

MKIs never got into dog fights during Red flag and were carrying strike packages, so only BVR shots available most of the time.

"It was with that ( of course simulated ) weapons have had to deal the French pilots who opposed him Mica EM / IR (Mirage 2000 -5F and Rafale F3), Super 530D and Magic 2 (Mirage 2000RDI). And in general they believe that everything went in our favor . Of course , recognizes the pilot Mirage 2000 -5F, their powerful radar allowed them before we learn about the situation in the sky , but we proved radar is not everything."

If you want to call our M2000 pilots liars... be my guest.
It is your own lack of understanding. The pilots never claimed anything relating to Bars operation modes.

Bars is still not cleared for use in international exercises. The training mode is plenty for long range detection and tracking. Training modes simply don't use full ECCM capability along with certain frequencies for BVR locks and many other modes are disabled.

Rafale bombs Islamist targets in Mali after Hollande visit

Rafale fighter jets took off from France, as part of operation Serval, to strike targets in the Northern part of Mali, aiming Islamist rebels' base of operations - contributing to the joint Franco-Malian military effort to push back islamist rebels' advance. EPA

France said it carried out major air strikes Sunday near Kidal, the last bastion of armed extremists chased from Mali's desert north in a lightning French-led offensive, after a whirlwind visit by President Francois Hollande, AFP has reported.

An army spokesman said 30 warplanes had bombed training and logistics centres run by Islamist extremists overnight in the Tessalit area north of Kidal, where French troops took the airport Wednesday and have been working to secure the town itself.

What are the "superior" technologies Dassault is going to give to India through this deal?
