FCAS is in a very bad move considering that german want F-35. I think that we will have a much better value to consider a merge of AMCA and FCAS without german.
Some Brits are saying that Italians are leaving Tempest to join FCAS.
AMCA sounds doable.
But even if Germans buy F35, you guys still have Spain in the project. And considering French developed Rafale all alone, same can be said for FCAS.

We can perhaps make alone FCAS but we will be isolated against NGAD. Where are the rafale Customers currently ? In Indo Pacific and arabian gulf. India is building its own silk road toward europe and build its own network for that, this network is exactly the same that France is building to stay an actor in the pacific. AMCA merge with FCAS has the potential to cement a lot of things.

Please answer 🙏

What are the chances of India placing order for atleast 36 more Rafale for IAF?
Chances of Rafale is pretty high Because Rafale has Highest chances of Winning this tender than any other Aircraft. I would say that the Most Probable outcome of MMRCA-2.0 will be IAF choosing the Dassault Rafale. If IAF does Decide to Buy Rafale than these will probably be of F-4 Standard.

Also I had heard 6 months back about the news about paper work being done for additional Rafales:

Done for 42 rafale and 2 scorphène in indonesia
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The government of the Republic of Indonesia and the government of the Republic of France have officially agreed to activate the contract for the purchase of six of the 42 Rafale fighter jets manufactured by Dassault Aviation.

The agreement is one of four signed during a meeting between Indonesian Defense Minister Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto and French Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly at the Indonesian Defense Ministry headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday ( 02/10/2022).

"The defense equipment sector plans to acquire important defense equipment for multi-role combat aircraft. We will acquire 42 Rafale aircraft. and the necessary simulators," said Prabowo.

Apart from the Rafale, the other MoUs are as follows:

a. An MoU on cooperation between PT PAL and Naval Group for the purchase of two Scorpene submarines as well as weapons and spare parts and training.

b. The MoU on cooperation between PT Dirgantara Indonesia and Dassault Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of French aircraft that will be and have been used in Indonesia, including the Rafale aircraft.

c. Cooperation MoU between PT LEN Industri and Thales Alenia Space for the acquisition of defense satellites

re. Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between PT Pindad and Nexter System for the production of ammunition for land-based weapons

On the same occasion, Parly said that France is committed to supporting Indonesia's strategic program in the defense industry.

"I welcome the signature. We are happy that Indonesia has chosen France for the modernization of defense equipment and I think that Indonesian companies can become partners," Parly said.

He said the Rafale has proven to have technical advantages over other fighter jets.

"This is an important step in the procurement phase of Indonesian defense equipment," said Parly.

Will French airforce or navy order anymore rafales or are they all in FCAS?
At least onother batch is on the agenda for years. 30 if I remember well (for a total of 210).
But the move may be bigger because FCAS is late, and because the war risk even in Europe is bigger than few years ago and I think the next french defense white book will ask for more jets, more MBT, more frigates....

Do we have money to buy 114 additional rafale f-4? That will cost over 25 billion $.

I don't think so we have. I think so this Entire MMRCA-2.0 might end up like the 1st one itself and we will just end up buying 36 Additional Rafales of F-4 Standard Because Rafale is the Obvious Choice.

France completes first engine test for its 6th generation fighter

The French General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) completed a first test for the development of the engine that will power the Future Combat Air System aircraft.
The DGA announced on January 10, 2021, that a prototype derived from the M88, the engine of the Dassault Rafale fighter, was trialed on a test bench as part of the Turenne defense technology project.
This test is distinctive by the technique used, called Thermocolor, which requires heat-sensitive paint; applied to the blades of the engine's high-pressure turbine blades, it measures the temperature thanks to a color change,” the DGA explained. “This type of trial is very rare; the most recent at DGA Propellant Testing dates back to 2010.”
It took five years for the conditions to be ready for this experiment. Once the results of this first test are analyzed, the project will move on towards an “endurance” test that should last several months.
“Each of these advancements is a unique and necessary piece of a puzzle of technological innovation. Combined with a latest-generation engine, they will make it possible to achieve the level of performance expected from the SCAF program,” the DGA concluded.

According to the French Ministry of Armed Forces, the New Generation Fighter (NGF) sixth-generation fighter jet developed by France, Germany, and Spain in the framework of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) will require more powerful engines than its predecessors.
Higher thrust means higher temperatures. The conditions could reach 2100 Kelvin (1826.85 degrees Celsius) at the turbine inlet – 250 Kelvin (250 degrees Celsius) more than those of the M88. Current materials are not able to sustain such conditions.
Consequently, the DGA along with the French national aerospace research center (ONERA), and the engine manufacturer Safran were contracted by the Ministry to accelerate the development of “new metal alloys and multilayer systems for high-temperature applications on turbine blades and disks”.

2100K TET (F-135 manages 2255K) is very impressive!

There is probably going to be some collaboration between this and AMCA's 110kN future jet engine, besides other items. But AMCA design is almost frozen so there may not be much of an overlap here.
