Nothing will happen to the kaveri regardless of what GE assembles here.
Kaveri will be used to power a family of UCAVs, marine applications and may be Tejas Mk1/A MLU & HLFT-42. There's enough places it can be deployed.

If this deal gets signed Kaveri project is dead. In the future, they will expand the deal to include engines of other capacities. The only thing I hope is GE signs a JV with some company in India to produce these engines instead of a HAL.
What deal ? there is no point singing a deal again and again.
Deal started in 2007, selected in 2009 and signed in 2013 by UPA gov, kaveri engine is dead when IAF demanded more powerful engine for LCA, in 2006.
I don't see anything new, but only current governments in US & India trying to take the credit of a deal done by previous governments, maybe US adding additional terms and conditions

Like I don't understand what is the problem is it money? It will only help the engine go forward
For Tejas it is safety issues, if engine fails mid air Tejas goes down, hence Kaveri should prove itself first on Ghatak, only after that it will fly on Tejas

So that's 2028 atleast
Firstly how sense does it make for a single engine aircraft to test an engine
If it fails both man and material is in danger
So this demand of tejas TD doesn't seem safe
So maybe after gaining confidence on ghatak they might try
Better to procure flying testbed but if they can't then get additional migs or su-30 for it
If govt is bit serious

There are 1000s of options in this regard
Question is does GoI has intent?
Ig they are skeptical about gtre's capability so they want to wait for ghatak to execute
Even then it doesn't explain reluctance of GoI to procure any sort of aircraft for ftb
This country will die in chalta he , dekh lenge kar lenge culture

Very bad theory. becz it is hard to say which engine is thrust worthy, just imagine what happens if RD33 fails
Better acquire a flying test bed.
And India has plenty of good servicable flying 747s that are phased out due to economics. With a flying testbed, you are not really worried about economics but the ability to be reliable and take off with at least 2 good working engines and one engine testing.
