Can be but I don’t really agree sorry SPG is made to do this they are funded and maintained to do this in my humble opinion SF shouldn’t be used in these kind of stuff there is tax money already going in SPG+Now in MARCOS in this case too (btw I don’t have anything against mudizi I fw him heavy but politicians in general)

More to do with the general lack of specialisms within civilian security agencies. Reason MARCOs were used here is the same reason MARCOs are used for diving operations in JK and elsewhere- the state doesn’t have the personnel with the skills they are being employed for

so in this instance because there was a water boundary that needed to be secured they got literally the only remotely capable waterborne security forces India possesses (some BSF floating around on RHIBs doesn’t count). In most other countries they have specialist police units for this role

SPG aren’t a marine force.

Fare enough but I do feel like that NG-7 is a better replacement, the round(7.62x51mm) is that small as compared to Pika's 7.62x54mm. The Accuracy is better, lightweight, better feeding system and the ergonomics are much better.

I refuse to listen to him now but as for this claim it's the most likely scenario ,I remember right kasab said they went through basically 8 months or so of probation so it was likely SSG or ex SSG designed camp
