I think Hk416 standard weapon for ParaSf with all these accessories on it

The recoil is just too much for a 5.56 rifle, if they were so good the US spec ops guys wouldnt be replacing them with ar15s from geissele, noveske etc.

no its not ask anyone who has shot one over the interwebs. The recoil is alot more than even an overgassed ar15.
And its just not as reliable as people make it out to be, any good quality AR is just as reliable.
Its also significantly heavier and costs alot more than a good AR.

It is not a geissele rifle, it is just their URGI / SOPMOD-III Programme which was done by US Spec ops community, Noveske rifles were also bought under the same URGI programme, HK-416 they use are SBRs but the standard 14.5” will remain their standard Assault Rifle from SOPMOD-I to SOPMOD-II to SOPMOD-III.

Initial Guns came with Sig Sauer’s US made .308 cartridge.

@AVINASH4061 sir the time you retire in 2019 till then did you see any para sf battalion using modern bpj or plate carriers and so after your service did you hear anything about it being used as we have seen some pics where a group uses it, it might be standardized.

I am 5'11 and I personally wouldn't prefer such a long weapon. Also the real fun would begin once the firing starts, people will have to modify a buffer pad for the stock. The recoil is phenomenal in this calibre. I remember my SLR days in NCC.
