LOL. Been on here for almost 10 years. Usually i dont engage in debates with my own countrymen, but this time i couldn stop myself when someone said "US and British Special forces are the best".
To be honest i miss the old days when members like Kunal Biswas, etc were active. Their posts made more sense and gave me an idea that some of those guys actually served .

Abhi toh sab apna "Theory" laga rahe hain, computer screen ke peeche se. Trying their best to put down our armed forces.

So
no one of them has stayed.

Their though process and thinking is not there to sustain.

^^ another so called "theory".
Bloody hell, how can you be so wrong and dismissive?

just listen to how a British/US SF veteran talks about tactics, it’s precise, scientific and technical. Then you get Indian veterans and they are using vague terms and self-aggrandising. The most you’ll hear about Indian ops is a small arms firefight that involved some trekking.

Western SFs are going deep into contested territory via all 3 domains (land, air and sea) and producing results. In Iraq and Afghanistan NATO SFs were conducting counter sniper missions, territorial domination by being inserted at >10,000ft behind enemy lines at night with a SAM/RPG threat etc etc. the low intensity COIN that india is waging against paki trained losers is nothing like AQ, ISIS, Taliban etc

I used to think Indian SFs were lacking only in equipment but their basic soldiering was top notch, now I’m not so sure when you see some of their drills and movements. They seem to struggle even with a few of the most standard soldiering practices like contact drills and weapon handling.

The belief you are the best should be backed up by reality but hubris has gotten so many brave young men killed and sadly will for the foreseeable future

you need equipment like this at night.Raat me kisi ko kuch nahi dikhta bhai isliye ye equipemt bane hai.
Lekin Indian SF being fucking Sigma Male Chads ye sab bag me rakhti hai aur bina dekhe civilians ko thok deti hai.
Sigma grindset- stop trying to see at night, shoot anything that moves.,😆

"Chief commander mentor of elite special forces". :pound:

This is not a DFIan. Even the most retarded of DFIan laughs at Shifuji.

It's one of these-

Ha ha wohi toh. They are humans. Isiliye toh "thora andhera bhi hogaya tha" - words of the Para SF officer who was leading the ambush.
Bhai mere, insaan ko dikhega nahi toh use kaise pata chalega woh kise maar raha hai? Aur dikha kyun nahi? Kyunki Night Vision Devices bolke Jo cheez hoti hai, woh unke paas thi nahi.
Now it begs the question. Best SF in the world but they ended up killing civilians cause they didn't have proper NODs. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Now just for comparison's sake, every US personnel on deployment anywhere in the world is issued NVDs. And I'm not talking Tier 1 or Tier 2 SOF. I'm taking infantryman. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Now what does that say about the BEST SF IN THE WORLD?
I am not part of the Jai Ho gang. My only complaint was that we should refrain from using such language.
If they don’t have NODs then it’s the fault of the high command.

Pakistani generals toh apne soldiers hee acknowledge nahi karte .
Anyway, its soo funny ki kuch na kuch excuse hota heee hain edhar."Most of the Kargil wins are thanks to Artillery"...Pssst.
Kargil was won by the concerted efforts of the artillery and the air force. The infantry component didn't perform as well as is assumed. Initial operations were spear-headed by units that had little expertise in mountain warfare and suffered heavy casualties with multiple failures to their credit. It wasn't until they were rotated out and specialists introduced did the Indian army begin making actual progress.

Shit happens.

"What I've drawn from this hearing is that the operative genuinely feared for the safety of the lives of his colleagues and also himself and had to make a critical decision in a fraction of a second, unaware of Linda's presence."

"We think that it's very creditable of the American authorities to accept that mistakes were made and to instigate an investigation, which we've found to be very full and thorough,"

"One tragic aspect of it at that point was that when the grenade was thrown, it would appear that the kidnappers were all dead or dying and the only person who was absolutely killed by the grenade was Linda."

Kargil was a "full fledged war"?
Seriously?
We fought Kargil where Pak AF refused to participate and actually fought un-uniformed enemies not sanctioned by their own state. We didn't face any combined arms combat where the enemy was backed by any AF either. It was pure light infantry to light infantry till Arty changed the balance.

Let's talk about Sri Lanka bro.
Why did Indian SF fail where Sri Lankan SF succeeded?
India had no specific military aims in Sri Lanka. It’s role was quite unclear and this has been noted by American analysts https://cgsc.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/api/collection/p4013coll3/id/1210/download

Vro, that makes it ten times easier to defeat the insurgency. Then why did Indian SOFs not absolutely mop the floor with LTTE while Sri Lankan SOFs did it?
India didn’t have experience fighting Urban Gueriillas. Although they managed to drive the LTTE from its urban strongholds, it’s intel to nab key LTTE leaders was insufficient and as a result, many base camps would be destroyed by Indian forces but no senior leader was captured as they managed to flee, also, senior LTTE leaders that were taken POW ate cyanide polls

Does anyone know anything about secret killings of assam 1998-2001 and were there any sf units involved alongside police and army?
