I think he meant , marcos have better gear then garuds thats why they find it cute while para sf only dream of gear that garuds have although I think gear of garuds in this pic is similar to what para sf use.

Indian Army officers and AF officers are good for wars and for follwing the Raj system of military to the dot..Nothing else.

Having personally worked with a lot of them i find them to be similar in the sense of being rigid and unable in finding new solutions or being innovative.Yes the exceptions are always there but the % is very less.

On the other hand IPS officers despite not having the war or battle experience are very keen to learn and find new ways to problem solving.They are well read and have a decent exposure which faujis do not have.

In the new world day to day there are new courses and trainings coming up which can only be mastered by being open and honest.

For our fauj exposure means congo deployment the situation is that bad.Hence you get to see the difference between a General led fauj and a IPS led fauj aka Para and NSG.

And you guys consider equipment i say fuck equipment even the basic knowledge difference between a NSG Major and Para Major will be huge coz all that a Para Major does is gets lost in the woods for months with no access to learning.

Whreas a NSG major attends lectures..cross trains..goes abroad..sees .learns.

Its not as good as looking good as most of us think.

Both have Good high cuts In large numbers. Garuds weapon handling is top notch as well. Both have great plate carrier and bpj's as well.

Absolutely. Yes IPS cadre lack the training but in terms of innovation in any field they surpass their military counterparts. Remember the modernisation in SPG is not exclusively because of their budget but thanks to the professionalism of the IPS officers. Be it a good reform or bad reform every IPS officer who tooks charge tries to bring their own sets of reforms or contributions to the dept they heads, yes its all for the personal glory too. But on the contrary the rigid top to bottom approach in military makes it hard to implement new reforms in military.
