Do PARA SF Commanding officers go on ops? Do they see action?

So Para SF units CO or RR units CO or Commanders is a job not given to a soldier who loves sitting in AC.

Decades of ACR with details about their character and commitment is considered before given that job.

My old man was called to Kashmir in mid 90s from a peaceful peace posting in southern command only cos of the reputation he made against BODO few years ago.

To the surprise of our family he accepted and went happily..next we came to know the bateman(ardali) was telling us ki sahab ops me gya hein.(gurkha accent)

Col Babu was similar and there are many examples like these.

Recently came to hear about 10 Para CO being exceptional in Kashmir.

So this is the Indian Army and officer leads here from the front.

You are still talking about Regs,. Bigger question is what is the Ethos of our SOF forces? Of the leadership? What makes our SF 'Special'. Cannot just be better fitness standards.
