Well a lot of tactics that gbrs use are their own, DJ Shipley(the blurred face) became a navy seal at 19 and operated in DEVGRU till his mid to late 30s, I am wondering if it is possible to hire gbrs or forward observation or goon to train our guys, as someone said Marcos and nsg do hire esa , why not these former DEVGRU delta mofo's?

I’m relatively sure I’ve seen that these ex-tier 1 (all SOCOM?)guys sign agreements not to train government forces unless given explicit authorisation by the USG, even for FID missions during the world service ex-Green Berets like Mike glover have said they don’t show all their tactics and equipment, especially not to non-NATO forces

To be honest I think they are not showing their true DEVGRU training, it just some CQB with makeups, look at their movements it's look like totally automated from point to point but no situational awareness it's because these Infilitarion ops already pre simulated and all possible hostile threats emulated but in real life if you try to adopt this like in Jammu you fail because of three main things one the Uncertinity and dynamic conditions in area of operations, traps and trip wires and hard to distinguish between civilians and militants unless they are so close, what ever our boys trying in Jammu is time tested and efficient, you can only wish to adopt Hollywood gun skills but if you try to adopt you may pay with blood,

HOWEVER, throw enough money at something you will find your way. This comes down to our own internal will and plan.

Yes absolutely. And IMO more suited to our needs given the threat perceptions of both countries and relative size and capability of the militaries visavis OPFOR

We share a deeper co operation on military level with Israel as compared to France. IAF sent the Garuds to the Blue Flag and we were the only one to do so.

IIRC india and israel only do joint air exercises, whereas with france we have all 3 services exercise. Ig NSG and GIGN have also conducted meetings (may later lead up to joint ops).
When were Garuds sent to Blue Flag? Last edition or the one where they were wearing highcuts provided by Israel?

The quality of these exercises matter not the number, saw the Para SF doing the Israeli CQB recently? The relation for some reason is based on exchange while the ones we do with France are usually Diplomatic games.

Yes u are right when I asked that ex-marcos officer who now a pipe dealer about exercises and joint operations
He said though marcos formation methodology and doctrine was adopted from 1980s seal ones but in due course of time they became much closer to Israelis on the basis of training wrt weapons and tactics
Just think how much closer would garud be towards Israeli as even during their formation Israeli advices and training were adopted

I dont know if it still holds true but SAS is almost persona non grata within the forces.
