Guess they'll let any tom, dick and harry train our guys.
Iirc there’s a rule that only Indian nationals can do such training or be given such contracts. This severely limits the talent pool especially amongst civilians as tactical training and assess to firearms in Indian populace is pretty much nonexistent

Im surprised that there aren’t a few companies set up by ex Indian SF to do this sort of
Stuff but maybe it only attracts a certain kind of person

This guy’s main training seems to be Krav Maga, not sure how he became qualified to teach armed combat

i think the issue is post service weapons permissions of all calibers (Getting a Pistol alone is Hard af) along with all the other resources that would go in this, US and Many of the EU countries have Legal Firearms of all sorts. Another option would be to do it in house by setting up a dedicated wing for developing tactics imo.

He isn't any tom, dick and harry guy. He has trained in Israel extensively as well as with ESA and in Jordan Special Forces School with various western SF units. He has three partners one of them being an EX French Foreign Legion and GCP. Major Avinash and I will be soon partnering with him. He is a legit trainer. Major Avinash will be soon going abroad again to train in CQB in ESA and then join him, me and other partners of this firm.

Majority of the training is always done in house but civilians are brought in to teach specific modules so that the training can keep evolving. This is coon even in tier 1 units in the US however there their civilian trainers are leaves above in terms of experience and dynamism. This guy appears to have been brought in to teach krav maga

Anyone who's followed Hari for some length of time know of his credentials and recognise that he's a path breaker of sorts as far as it comes to Indians as tactical experts.

But the issue with some on this thread here is that they're quick to jump the gun with their ill
informed opinions, often with the incorrect facts.

The kind of training and gear airsofters in the US are getting.

(The guy in the video is a former Green Beret btw)

This is some nutty stuff. Of course the effective range and recoil of the pellets are not the same as regular guns but this is a nice, cheap way to have some close quarters force on force training.

I have seen Indian SOFs using paintballs which are really not the same but this could be a great replacement. What do you guys say?

Never mind, my bad. But his hand to hand stuff followed by the pistol was pretty shady, it needs pressure testing.

I don't remember CP making his unit affiliation public, you got a source?

Easy to derive. Dude talks of Naan, not being an instructor by designation but still instructing hundred of soldiers (all FID-like), SME in CQB and everything in between. This is what I gathered from various videos of his.
I also remember some ex GB guy commenting on his instagram post and deleting it immediately saying something along the lines of "Surprised to see you here". Me, being the eagle eyed creep, caught that.

Now, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure.

That’s fine but no one should be above criticism and isn’t the point of this place to have sensible discussions? Qualifications are fine (I also see he’s a NATO approved supplier, not sure for what) but we can also judge the output no?

i guess that he teaches the Israeli rack and shoot method but using clothing to rack a pistol really isn’t professional training (there’s a more egregious example when he uses a shoe to cock the pistol but I don’t know if that’s in Front of the NSG

the practical uses for this? If you have a knife use the knife if you have a pistol use a pistol. When would NSG use a knife anyway?

all this is fun and games for civilians but let’s not forget that he’s doing all of the above whilst training one of India’s most elite units, at worst this is wasting their time (showing the things that aren’t applicable to them)

On the whole he seems like a skilled instructor and a definite upgrade on that husband/wife duo and the likes of the clown shifuji. His weapons handling and transitions are decent enough

It's marketing brah. You got to shoot these gimmick videos to appeal to a larger crowd. (Extra macho desi boys with no technical understanding of firearms and their handling)

I really did like the fact that he's teaching retention point shooting though, but the krav maga stuff is an automatic nono for me. It's far more prudent to teach retention shooting with pistols and rifles and then work towards boxing, BJJ and wrestling wuth some minor kick-boxing/muay thai (teeps, elbows etc.) With active resistance than any of this krav maga/kung fu/wing-chun stuff.
