I have a rather simplistic theory . Maybe because the op was conducted during the night , when they wore Black . Later during the day , they organised a photoshoot to post about their success and achievement . Where they wore UCP to signify that "They" the Marcos had a successful interception .

The second pic is definitely not Sagar Prahari Bal . It's a Marcos .

I thought so about it but every one told me its Sagar Prahari Bal and navy has quite a few units with it including the EOD who look similar to marcos

Honestly ..the older Republic days were better organized and lots things to see and even doordarshan videography and commentary was also interssting and well cordinated....Abhi ka republuc day is full Jhumlabaaji with lots to Doordarshan blunders...

Sagar Prahari Bal does not deploy off warships for ops. They are meant for shore based force protection like Garuds and other operate Solas Marine FICs for harbour and inshore defence and security.

Otherwise VBSS is conducted by the ships company. There is no separate VBSS force as such.

In this op I expect the MARCOS to have conducted the VBSS op. Likely they are dressed in black for the night operation.

For me the highlight of this operation is the coordination between intel agencies and military, and secondly it was executed successfully without anybody getting hurt. The equipment used is only a detail and should not cloud the achievement here.
