What do you mean.Has anybody has that news report of army selecting 400 or so para SF to create a new unit?
There was some report on it after the URI strikes that army was creating a 400 man specialised unit.it was even before AFSOD was talked aboutWhat do you mean.
An original NDTV report back when AFSOD was firsf announced had mentioned a 380 man unit and alluded that that was what AFSOD was.
AFSOD turned out different and nobody else spoke in the subject. But the report , if I remember, mentioned 200 assaulters and rest intel and support staff
I think this post is better suited to the Police thread or the SIG 716 thread mate, has nothing to do with SFs

I remember this, doesn’t seem related to AFSOD at all, this is more of a JSOC type unit.A "Surgical Strike" Unit To Fight Behind Enemy Lines: Government Sources

This special unit will conduct surprise precision strikes deep inside enemy territory, inflicting maximum damage in...www.google.com
Yes, that's why initially I confused the AFSOD with this.I remember this, doesn’t seem related to AFSOD at all, this is more of a JSOC type unit.
doesn’t seem entirely pie in the sky either, they outline quite a few definitive characteristics here
Doubt we will ever see/hear of this unit again though

RR have ACOG?To be fair, we've seen RR do worse (Remember the ACOG thing?)
Can't remember, but there was a pic out there of an ACOG mounted backwards by some soldierRR have ACOG?
See comrade, wearing a helmet backwards and mounting a acog sight on a rifle are two different things , atleast RR wears their helmets correctly. To be fair, we've seen RR do worse (Remember the ACOG thing?)
