Its not a good indication. Now rest of states will follow on. Police walas will Start importing weapons.
Really, I really did not understand on what basis they procured such different type of weapons, all those fancy guns stays at headquarters with sentries, they only take ak and slr to combing,

Sir, I understand that. But without the suppressors how will the army develop its own night fighting capability?
Suppressors are an integral part of night operation while night operations are the face of modern CT ops.
I believe only after the acquisition of suppressors and other necessary accessories, the sf will be able to achieve expertise in the night ops.
Hence suppressors are very vital piece of gear to have for the sf.
Regards.
I think you are putting the cart before the horse. First we need to develop a night fighting capability not just in infantry but in combined arms. ISR, Armour, artillery, C&C.

When our BMPII are still night blind, putting supressors on smalls arms is a distant dream.

It all comes to the priority of the army and how they are training/orienting to conduct warfare.

different units and nationalities entirely. First guy is USMC, 100%.

Garuds flying C17s or pilots and crewmen with Negevs?

babsurd.
Special times call for special conditions.
I can see in a way why IAF might have sent garuds instead of regular crew and pilots in a place like Afghanistan.

Only to Please Mother Russia
No maybe the rifle is good after all. You think paltry arms deal would please them.
Our deals are mostly in the nuclear field, big defence ticket (tanks, ships). Russians and Indians have diverging views, but don't forget despite all the hype Putin knows China is waiting for him at the next crossroads. He is just playing his cards with limited resources.

Kalashnikov Concern को हवा देने के लिए, रूस को नहीं। कलशनिकोव उनकी स्ट्रटीजिक ऐसेट है, और वो चाहेंगे की वो चलती रहे जिससे उन्हें फ़ायदा हो।

@Hellfire and @AVINASH4061 sirs, where are the magazines kept in such plate carriers made by the unit tailors? As in these pics it isn’t very clear. Usually most soldiers in RR wear tac vests over these, but we’ve seen PARAs and others several times just wearing the PC.
When you need mobility, you usually dump armour. Try crawling upto a target with plates:rofl:

When I say tailor made generally it denotes this:

Magazines are carried on harness, worn additionally.

Like these:

Here, the number 1 pic has harness which was a non-csd item sold in Para unit canteens or purchased through ACSFP. The pattern on No2 was further evolved and has been introduced as standard harness for every Infantry Soldier today

These are what are standard issue:

WTF? The CO is not a Garud, nor was his Co-Pilot - and the photo is from his sortie. :D

There is no pilot posted in the Squadron who is even a G of the Garud and no, they, the pilots or the crew of the aircraft, do not train on Tavors that they shall be carrying them. The pilots get training at good ol' INSAS and 9 mm (if they are lucky) once a Quarter at best (if they are lucky).

There is no requirement to confirm if Garuds flew in wearing overalls. The guys holding tha Tavor in flight overalls, were crew, not pilots.
