I read a book by an ex DEVGRU (the tier1 seals) in which he mentioned the use of "bonephones"
Till now, i've only seen DEVGRU operators' photos wearing those "bonephones" (also comtac iv) and never saw DELTA(tier 1 armySOF) wearing them.
These bone phones give almost earbuds' level of earpro and unlike the bulkier comtac versions they don't amplify small noises.

FAST helmets weren't solely developed for integrating comms, the weight reduction is a massive 25-28%(which means alot in the field) alongside proper weight distribution and the FOV is more than that of standard ACH (again increases the spatial awareness helps in increasing one's speed through the OODA loop)
Moreover, the cusps just under the rail in ACHs/MICHs were cubersome, hence in FAST/highcuts one can mount stuff without any hassle

Maybe not at the strategic level, but it would be good to bring in experts from Western Allies to set up specialised schools like Sniper schools.

they should have used that gear to save Crimea.
