I remember, even 10 years back one Chinese para-military SF(forgot the name but some 'Tiger') was consistently winning international SF competitions. Recently they have also introduced a well trained and well-equipped Tibetan task force(comparable to SF & officially not under PLA) near the Indian Chicken Leg area. These troops were apparently taken to Tibet to be blessed by the Buddhist monks. Such traditions are completely new to the atheist Red Army(even though Buddhism is a form of Atheism).

So what i was saying is that everyone agrees they have really good instructors ie the reason they are winning so many competitions.

The only doubt is that overall their military is not on that level.

So the thing is that how long would it take for a pool of brilliant instructors to pass on the knowledge in a war?

And mind you we are not even considering their weapon systems yet.

The para-military Chinese SF I was talking about is the Snow Leopard Commando Unit, under People's Armed Police.

With all due respect no one has war experience.

Killing 4 FB jihadis with 200 soldiers doesnt mean its a war experience.

That is why its called Low Intensity conflict.

In a war what would evolve is dependent on the actions there only.No body knew before WW2 if US would be kicking asses on all fronts.

And by the way Germans were thought to be having a inferior military and French were considered to be the superpower of Europe.

But what happened.

I will end on the same note i started of with upsetting the trolls...

China has a mysterious Army of average trained majority and few very well trained instructors.

We will have to wait and see if war happens how they evolve.

But do me a favour check inside your laptop / car / phone. How much of that shit is made in china ? Is that propoganda? If that level of competence can enter their economy it is entirely within the realm of possibility that it will be in their military.

6 months ago the Chinese realized their deficiencies at high altitude and in Tibet in terms of training and hardware. They have already rectified the hardware and logistics and are actively fixing the training. Please go research the high level command reshuffle done.


In india in 1995 we rebuffed the Abhay ICV from DRDO saying light tank not needed. Then the Army turned down 3 different offers fo BMP2 upgrade and a BMPIII offer. Now we are scrambling to put night vision on our ancient vehciles and signing billion dollar RFPs for a light tank where even the Turks have been invited.

What experience? Remember Kargil we laboured and struggled . Remember what happened after the parliament attacks, hundreds of soldiers wer killed just mobilizing. ?

What experience of coin today is valid facing a conventional military- please explain?

The Chinese also do fight a COIN campaign in xiajing .
