German govt banned H&K exports to India in 2016 itself, so no question of any Indian force buying anything from H&K. Hence my line of enquiry.

One more thing, are the IR strobes chemical in nature or it needs a power source?

They are powered. Type of power source depends on model. Relatively high-power ones like the CORE Survival HEL-STAR are powered by a single CR123 type battery, as they are meant for Military SOF. The one I suggested for NSG, like the Nitecore NU05 family are relatively low-power & more compact - they have onboard Li-ion battery and can be recharged via Micro-USB just like a phone.

There is a version available in militray canteen, the olive is replaced with black and the Camo is way more bold. Looks quite dapper.
