Apparantly I heard in the interview with Col Kaushal that it was Brig SS Shekhawat who managed to get the wind tunnel at SFTs by dealing with a seperate agency. This, even the Airborne school at Agra never did. Imagine if Brig SS Shekhawat was to be the head of AFSOD. Considering the army politics, I am sure that was never to happen. But if it, our guys would've been on another level

I posted a pic a few pages(page 1653 ig) back from the book balidan mentioning that Brig Shekhawat got it for PTS Agra even before the Airforce. 100% that guy is feared by the lobby that lead to this present day debacle.

The Parachute Regiment was the Parachute Regiment.

The Regiment had Para btns and SF Batns under its orbat.

AFAIK it used to be --> Parachute Regiment, 9SF (btn)

First Time I am Seing ---> Parachute Regiment (Special Forces), XX Btn

[the SF nomenclature came after the Battalion not the Regiment]

Since the WHOLE Parachute Regiment is now Special Forces have 2 different badges seems redundant no?

i have to say they look so much cooler than when they do those public demos. Why do they have to dress like idiots for those shows?
I dont mind the patka either, looks quite iconic for the Indian Military. I say send these guys to the US

I think 9 already gets there fair share of training with us they just don't show cause 9 is our delta kinda as in best man we got

4-5 guys have standard kits
And they are using well setup shooter cut pc with dual mags and ptt connected to radio
Battle belts dump pouches holster and many other things which aren't visible due to video quality
I can't believe they are Indian sf

Watch a bit more closely, the whole team has this kit as std. Only one UAV operator is rocking an older kit i.e patka and old Chest rig, he too is rocking a decked out m4a1.

Yep, their kit doesn't look like guys wearing stuff that they'll figure out some day. Just as senior members say - Kit setups translates to Training and doctrine.
I hope the unit thats being sent to US gets the kit that is slated to be the std issue for all SF units.

Their schedule is way too tight for JtExs. since all teams are deployed on various operations throughout their AO.
