interesting, he talks about barefoot patrolling to reach the target. And the reason he gives is same to what Richard Marcinko did in his book to what SEALs of SEAL Team 2 and MACV-SOG had in Vietnam. But damn, barefoot patrolling in a burnt jungle in the north east is completly different. Plus he mentions that he read that in Falklands war, the SAS used Kayaks so he developed tactics based on that for riverine operations. But it is kind of surreal to think that why did Para SF realize so late that riverine operations could not be done by Gemini crafts and before almost all SF units used Kayaks. MARCOs have been doing these ops quite often in Sri Lanka and Kashmir. But I guess lack to jointness lead to alot of tactical deficieny.- YouTube
