Vajra Prahar will be held in the US this year (End of November). Elements of 11 Para and some 21 Para operatives will be taking part in the exercise.
Like the comment if those combat pants you made were for this exercise you don't have to say anything

Sure, but we aren’t talking hypotheticals. I hold indian SF to a higher standard, frankly because it doesn’t live up to its full potential. The Vtac wall frills from VP last year showed and confirmed that the operator itself can be skilled. Not really a fault of the men, or even officers up to brigadier level. The problem starts with the Command level all the way to the MOD itself.

SF, by definition, are special forces. The operations they need to do must be complex, and unachievable by the regular forces. This concept was there till the 2000s it seems. What we are seeing in 2010s and 2020s, are them doing operations which regulars can do, and even there they are suffering losses. What exactly is “strategic” about assaulting a militant hideout, that too at first light. Barring physical toughness, i struggle to differentiate between an Indian regular and an Indian para Sf operator.

lets be frank, none of them are larpers. They are incredible men in a shitty situation.
Sorry, but I will humbly disagree here. What exactly has said unit done that qualifies itself as anything above wannabes? Forget regular ops, how about commando tier ops behind enemy lines. I'd argue that the whole PARA SF, including 9, are not true SOF. Its not the men in the uniforms fault its the issue with Command level all the way up till the MOD.

Gen Manoj Pande COAS inaugurated ‘UDAAN’, the first Vertical Wind Tunnel, a state of the art training facility at the Special Forces Training School. This virtual inauguration marks the operationalisation of a training asset that will be a game changer for Combat Freefall training and a significant leap towards adopting new training methodologies aimed at superior operational capability and readiness.

Can someone describe the difference between a Mil grade Wind Tunnel vs a civilian one? I have seen Civilian ones in Malls in America/Australia
