Nice way to utilize already wafer thin 9% reserved for IA modernization out of total IA budget. Hope wining and dining in london was good
As if the guys in the lofty positions of IA HQ who get chauffeur driven from their government accommodation to their offices to embassies to galas etc give a damn

RFI will be written to favour a specific vendor (only really one viable product out there) as usual but no questions will be asked…..

i mean to say, little does tactical utility factor into these things, this is the same army that imports boots and clothing from abroad
ek sanction lag gaya na, fatt ke chaar ho jani hai inki.

but are they afraid to get their tavors and optics wet?
Don’t think thats the case as we had seen pics of Para with Tavors in diving attire.May be operators preference or due to the myth that Aks and VZs are water proof or these weapons are expendables

Quick question. Given the wholesale merger of Para and SF units one would assume that SF no longer exists. Or is it that the Paras no longer exist?
With the blessings of Army HQ in collaboration with some senior paratroopers (OG guys know which ones im talking about)...50% of the strength of the older para regular units have been retained for the regular paratrooper duties. These units have a "hybrid" structure with two teams excelling in SF duties and two teams retaining the earlier charter.
Older SF units remain the same way with 4 assault teams.
But since both regular and SF certified troops of the 'not so regular' para bns work under the SF moniker, they get equal paychecks and 'glory'.
