A new recruit is easy to kill but once that same recruit has escaped some cordons he becomes fearless and if he has successfully escaped with a firefight he becomes confident and dangerous as confidence to break cover and fireback is very important to win a gunfight . What I mean to say is although they are not well trained , confidence and experiences learned via firefights can be gamechanger.

Now imagine if a terrorist who has ambushed and escaped IA and even successfully ambushed a kill squad of Paras he starts to think he is Rambo .
