Yeah it was earlier
But latter on Sandeep sir clarified that Indian ak-203 will be similar to original ak-203 but with wooden buttstock
And this pic of iaf is definitely ak-203 which was ordered by iaf in 70000 nos many in sm are confirming this
Wooden buttstock, wtf ? Is there any image of it. Is it gonna look like an old AKM?

This is just a sad picture. Our troops will be carrying this for the next 30 years. Make of it what you will. India being a self declared major power and future industrial/economic power is issuing its troops Russian AK's as its new service rifle. Every country with the budget is moving towards AR style rifles with a repeatable zero, adjustable buttstock, magazine well for quick insert, ergonomic controls, straight line recoil and free floating barrel. Including former soviet republics. The rifles we're getting is simply an AK103 with some picatinny rails and what the Russians claim is a repeatable zero. And which genius decided that the upper handguard didn't require picatinny?

Manoeuvering in tight corners with Tabor is really difficult, this is one of the reason why serous forces moved to ar 15 for CQB. Not to mention the importance of accessories, every single $ you spend on your rifle will inc. your chances of survival if shit ever fall on you

.
Hopefully we move to AR 15 from Tavors in this decade atleast because you'll witness trench warfare with China in Arunachal and NE.

No, a tavor with a full length 18inch barrell will be shorter than a 14 inch ar15 anytime of the day. The bullpup was invented specifically for combat in tight spaces. I dont like the tavor either for many legit reasons but saying a m4 is better in tight spaces is wrong.
