12SF you are referring, 21 was different oneDo you really need to ask that after the stuff that happened recently involving 21SF?
UCP plate carriersMARCOS - ALH MKIII
a lot of us defended them for way too long including @abingdonboy
I mean uniform code should be standard atleasta lot of us defended them for way too long including @abingdonboy
but they have exceeded the deadline for even basic things for atleast 6 years.
They should use balaclavas instead of shemaghs
I like the aesthetics of schemag moreThey should use balaclavas instead of shemaghs
A uniform camo and JPC and battle belts (hopium)
Prolly the only aesthetic, Para SF operators nailed.I like the aesthetics of schemag more
Gotta live on somethingA uniform camo and JPC and battle belts (hopium)
What I don’t understand is how all these units in JK de conflict. It must be so hard for security forces to be able to make a split second difference if that guy over there is another security forces officer or a terrorist, they use the same weapons and generally dress similarly with no uniformIty on the Indian side
Terrorist use uniform not a big deal to manage it for them igWhat I don’t understand is how all these units in JK de conflict. I’m sure this has been responsible for countless fatalities within Indian security forces over the years. Whenever you hear about the security forces being shot at or a grenade attack I always wonder how that came about. Of course the dead security forces guys can never tell us this was the cause but I suspect it has been
20++ years of fighting COIN and even basic stuff like this has not been corrected
There are some here who question their morale, expertise and effectiveness everyday. Many here think we don't really have SF. So plenty of gandus for sure. Will agree with you on this, it's one thing to criticize them equipment wise but u have to be an absolute fucking gandu to question their Morale, expertise and effectiveness.
Knee pads you can justify but has anyone ever needed elbow pads other than skateboarders? This became tacticool in the 1980s because US SWAT teams started to use them, they quickly ditched them but somehow this is still the mark of a tactical unit in india todayThe elbow and knee pads are back.

I don’t foresee war either ( and I think this is what everyone in civilian/military leadership in India is counting on hence their chalta hai approach) but I definitely see the Chinese and even pakis getting super aggressive in the coming years as their internal struggles mounting.Interesting!
While i dont forsee a defeat of Indian Army because there would be no major war in the near future but the concerns are somewhat related.
The price to win the war will be deaths.Human wave tactics would be used like it was used in Kargil.
And that is why i am concerned.
Small wars and all dont make a big impact on history and the narrative of which can be changed by media and blind patriotism like for example Balakot and post by both Ind and Pak.
The standards of Army have gone down and there is no question about it.
The calibre of current officers are way below the knees of Sam Manekshaw.
