Must have hit some big stuff to get such citations.

I’m guessing they had something to do with that paki brigadier and colonel who were injured badly but I don’t know for sure.

a brigadier is a HVT. also, to get a brigadier would require crossing the LoC quite deep inside which is only something a Para SF squad would be able to do.

My conspiracy theory don't bash me)
There's no definitive proof , may be it was us downplaying the incident just like our surgical strike kills ,may be that brigadier is enjoying 72goats with a bunch of others which may very well be high ranked too, pakis tried failed BAT attack with all SSG commandos and then they tried again but this time they just put IEDs at multiple places and ran back ,then they targeted BSF asstt commandent in sniper attacks so something big did happen which made pakis restless,they tried multiple BAT raids and multiple sniping etc also maybe more damage might have been caused like blowing up arms cache or fuel depot OR
maybe it has something to do with that news leaked about us moving LOC a couple hundred metres into paki side OR maybe it all happened in the same op.
Attacking a paki brigadier is escalation in itself.

its all hearsay but unit citations are not awarded for small actions. something big has happened but we will never know about it and thats how it should be. Operational confidentiality is key for future operations to be exercised in an effective manner.

Let's wait and see who gets the awards this republic day. Pretty sure, if there was such a mission carried out, we will see names from PARA SF, getting recognised. Especially Team leaders....

A neutralised/eliminated HVT is fine. A merely injured one, not quite so sure, especially if he comes back.

Mock drill

Not one of NSG’s Sherpa. This belongs to the Special Protection Group. This is at the petrol station on LKM, near the PM’s residence.

Though Aks were with NSG right from the starting ,only now they are being spotted with Hit teams along with MP5s and Sigs.
Most probably inspired from the decision of French GIGN to use CZ805 in 7.62x39 in hostage rescue and CQBs.

Could be but for a specialist unit like NSG they should be using highly customised weapons not these stock standard spray and pray AKs, very il suited for them.

Nothing impressive in this picture. All crappy outdated equipment and still easily amongst the worst equipped special
Forces on the planet. Even tiny nations in Africa have supperior equipment these days.

Its the same kit as URI. Only NODs, OLED wearable comms, FN SCAR, HK 416 is not present.

This is your average Ghatak Force / Para SF soldier.
