Advance Combat Helmet ( ACH ) can b used in various configurations (1) Regular ACH (2) ACH with Rails (3) ACH with Rails and NVG mount (4) ACH with militech tactical visor rail band MHA has ordered ACH for all CAPFs but NSG customised those according to their use.

Lol the Markhor Goat of the 60th squadron RAF has to do with Celebrating its India/South Asian Origins. The Goat is found in the Kyber Pass and surrounding regions. Nothing to do with the Abrahamic "devil"

Yet goat in symbology is way of saying ... "sacrifice" in our case "Balidaan", which is a motto of one of our special forces if I am correct. Thanks for them for not using a goat as insignia.

Looking at the Website below are the Quality SOF units at the event

1. Gendarmerie Commando Special Operations Team (Turkey)
2. Gendarmerie Commando School Team (Turkey)
3. BOA Team (Poland)
4. ODA - 5233 Unit Team (USA)
5. ODA - 5232 Unit Team (USA)

6. 2 Chinese PAP teams
7. Others - Swedish, Czech, Portugese, Greek, Austria (COBRA) teams
8. Jordanian SOF - one of the better Arab SOF teams


Adding the Chinese PAP team because they tend to win a lot of competitions but I have serious reservations on their quality.


Outside of the 5 listed above and the NSG doubt the others have ever shot bullets in anger.

From wiki - their operational history

EKO Cobra was involved in a hostage rescue in the Graz-Karlau Prison in 1996 and numerous other operations. Although it has never participated in the same type of hostage rescue operations that the HRT, GIGN, GIS, NSG, ERU, GSG 9 and the SAS have had, the EKO Cobra is the only Counter-Terrorism unit to end a hijacking while the aircraft was still in the air.[2] On 17 October 1996, four Cobra officers were on board an Aeroflot Tupolev Tu-154 escorting deported prisoners to Lagos when a Nigerian man threatened the cockpit crew with a knife and demanded a diversion to Germany or South Africa. The team overpowered the man and handed him over to the authorities after landing. The officers received a decoration from Russian Prime Minister Putin.[citation needed]

135 EKO Cobra operatives together with units of the Austrian Armed Forces were involved in the search for Alois Huber in the Annaberg shooting, who killed three police officers and one Red Cross EMT on September 17, 2013, in Lower Austria.[3]

In 2016 42 officers supported the German Police in the Munich shooting[4][5][6]

In 2017, 20 EKO Cobra operatives were directly involved to end the severe riots in the Schanzenviertelarea during the G20 Hamburg summit, three operatives have been wounded.[7][8][9]


I am sure they are well trained. Very closely associated with GSG-9 etc but I don't think they have heavy experience. I mean not like the Brits/french/Germans / polish

IMO we should send multiple teams garud /Marcos/nsg /SF /cobra on rotation. If nothing else interacting with so many units will take their egos down a notch and get them to force command for better equipment.


PS glad NSG took their own small arms. The Chinese seem to have used Jordanian weapons for example
